I don't know hwy but this is the only MMORPG that I like to play.
The concept is just genius if you think about it =/.

I sometimes wonder if Joymax will learn and change their ways.
As crazy as this sounds, I think that this game has more potential than WoW( I'm serious)

As much as I've tried to run away from this game ( Since 2006) I can't leave it.

Does anyone think that Joymax will ever change?
I'm on ECSRO, but I would like to create a charcter on ISRO one day as well.

I played WoW for about 8 months. During that time, I never once had as much fun at any point as I did when I played Silkroad from 60-80 Cap. Staying up late to see who would get to 72 first.

I never once during the patches or the expansion stay up late playing WoW. I just did what I had to be ready for the raid schedule the next week. And yes I did end up clearing up through Felmyst in BC before the 3.0 patch. So I believe I played this game at a decently competitively level, among less than 1% of US players to do so.

If Silkroad had control over Sun Gear, the botting, and stabilized the gold economy, I would play again. It's a simple game in comparison to any game out right now, but it's damn fun game.

For some WoW might be better, but I quit WoW after 8 months. It took me 3 years to quit SRO and I still come to these forums for updates hoping Joymax will fix the issues that lead me to quitting. I still keep up to date with the private servers and official looking for signs saying, it's good time to come back.

I never joined a forum outside of the official forums for WoW and I have not visited official forums or WoW site in almost half a year now.

I got tired of World PvP in WoW within a few weeks. It was just annoying. I only did BGs for certain trinket and rings, necks. I tried Arena but it felt too much like masturbating with no climax, no point. I did the PvE, watched Kael'thas die, Illidan, Kil'Jaeden and so on. But after that, I couldn't care less what happens in Lich King.

But I never got tired of job wars, jobbing, and GUILD WARS in all 3 years I played SRO. If Guildie or Union said need help, never once my adrenaline not rise and get excited for some PvP. Not sure what it is, but SRO was fun. If only Joymax was as great as their game.

And I quit for WoW with a bunch of other SRO players. And none of them liked WoW more than SRO, we just didn't want to return with the current state of the game.

True, i played sense Troy open and i cant quit either, its a great game, i have tryed other online games and they dont much the quility the expirence the intence of this, but what game dosent have it issues and it is f2p so its not going be the prefect game but is not far from it. WoW lol its for 9year old boys whos momy pay 15month so they can play it + buying new maps and shit.

In WoW, you have REAL jobs and proffesions to level up, real team work, proper class balance, real well constucted groups, GM's that care, friendly players, no language-barriers, good quests that change the actual gameplay... I dont think i need to continue, although im sure i could.

Oh, and did i mention that WoW is only $15 a month for all those great things, whereas to be able to play Sro you need to spend at least $15 or spend hours logging in, not to mention getting avatars, silk pets ect.

i think thats what everyone is trying to get at, that if only SRO had that sort of support, it could easily match up. the concept is there, the effort is not.

The thing is, sro is just so tempting, for some reason. Even after playing loads of other games w/ a better gaming system than Sro. About your last paragraph, we are saying sro would be better than wow if the customer service was better, so you wouldn't have to wait hours to log in... Sro is a great game if they add more things to do, more xp from good quests, and ofcourse, better customer support.

Any game out there has great potential. What matters is if this potential is getting realized. Who makes this possible are the developers. In Joymax's hands, potentials remain as potentials.

SRO's appeal to draw back players isn't unique. There are other MMOs out there who share the same veterans seeking some form of nostalgia, or maybe addiction. People still go back to Maple Story. The same for RS, RO, L2, and so on.

+ Good Service
+ No Bots
+ Many Serves > No Traffic
+ PvP Servers
+ A lot of Races
+ Differnt Quests (Sro just have something like: Kill 500 Mobs and I give you a reward)
+ Not So Many Bugs
+ Proffesions

- Level Cap is too easy to reach
- Costs a lot (30€ = 2 months )
- No Trader/Thief/Hunter system (I like it ^_^)

SRO

+ Trader/Hunter/Thief System
+ Free (Well Hardly playable as Free)
+ Able to Chanche build
+ Level Cap isn't too easily reachable (Imo it's too hard)

- Bots
- Bugs
- Bad Services
- Traffic
- Boring Quests
