Ok so I started to play Silkroad and I found the #1 problem are these "gold" botters that are online 24/7 hunting monsters making it impossible to level. My idea is to bring in a new Stamina system(name could be changed) and this is how it would work, you would start with like 48 hours or 72 hours of stamina or whatever and just like a gold ticket works when you are hunting monsters the stamina time drains away. Once you reach 0 stamina you will get 0 exp from monsters, and in order to bring the stamina back up you simply log off or open a stall or something and like every 2 minutes brings back 1 minute of stamina. So regular players can still hunt for 8 hours a day and be logged off or stalling for the rest and it would not be a problem. The gold botters who are online hunting all the time will simply run out of stamina and never be able to gain enough exp to go hunt the harder monsters keeping them where they are at. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I think it could fix the problem, please leave any other suggestions.

EDIT: After someone runs out of stamina the monster will stop dropping gold and loot all together.

they could set it to know when the "stamina" is that 0 and just go back to town and set up a stall with elixirs, once they have x amount they could go back to training.

imo they are called "gold" bots because of earning gold...they would continue hunting and taking gold/drops etc

This isn't what I would call a 'great idea'.

It would help the bots and hurt the players...

I don't know why people post this stuff. No offense to you, but it's not JM is even gonna take the time to read this much less implant it into the game.

zShared: making a stall to gain back stamina was optional just not make it like that then, and at least it could slow them down right?

Amro: yes they would continue to hunt and get gold/drops thats why I made the thread called stop them from LEVELING.....

Ok look at my edit (After someone runs out of stamina the monster will stop dropping gold and loot all together.) They could just make it like that, is your problem solved now?

Golbots don't need to level, they just pick up gold. It would help the companies that have the goldbots cause they could just put them in one place and never need to put them elsewhere. It would hurt players cause there would STILL be so much traffic in addition to having this retarded "game timer" stopping them from playing how long they want. And you don't need to give others ideas cause others, just like you, can't do a damn thing about it being put in the game. So thnx for your time and have a nice day

Go read my edit they could just make it so when you run out of stamina you don't get any drops at all from monsters.... there you go problem solved, as for players if they are not botters themself or extreme hardcore gamers I don't think it would effect them at all. Just think about if they made a new server and this was on it, the gold botters would not get past level 10, yeah they would sure make lots of money off level 10 mobs even if it was like that, and I diden't make this thread as a traffic solving problem just a idea to stop gold botters from leveling........

Hey, can this be like the idea that mobs dont drop gold, and Items only give a little bit? I liked that idea when that dingus posted it. /sarcasm

Why would Joymax wanna get rid of the goldbots? THat their main income of $$$. And if the GM´s (GM Tarky for me) are already bots wich log on sometimes only to tell you that your not supposed to take candy from some strangers, then...well..think about it yourself

I thought of something before .. they had this in another game i played before.
It wud be called "random events" .. its basically a 2-3 minute event of maybe a puzzle or an easy problem so bots can't solve ... the more random events and different problems their is the more chance of it working for example..something has to do with colors,numbers,matching,ordering,naming,imitating, ... stuff that only a player can do but not a bot and if not solved correctly it wud log out the account or dc's the charachter. I hope someone gets what i mean.

2-3 minute is how long the event will last..and it wud be good if comes to a charachter randomly every 1-2 hours.

The best way to stop them leveling is to quit the game. If everyone quit, they will go.

You want goldbots to stop leveling? 99% of them have 9 gap anyways. Plus, goldbots are ment to get gold, not levels.

I really don't see your point at all.

Excatly. It should be My great idea to stop gold botters from getting gold and drops

what about my idea..to get them dced and maybe banned...

Heres an idea, somebody apply for a job a JM as an ingame GM, get the job, and IP ban every bot in site. You WILL get fired, but you will have at least stop them for a few days. Try massacreing as many servers as possible.
