Re: Fraps Problem
There's a few things that could be the case. Now, keep in mind that I use the Vista version of Fraps version 2.9.1.
I myself have a problem specifically recording sound on Fraps, especially when the No Cursor setting is checked to ON. What would happen is it would record then crash the client; Fraps and whatever game I may be recording, be it Halo PC, CE, Silkroad or COD4.
But if that isn't your specific problem, then it would be either your hard drive write speed or that your memory is too low. Try defragging your hard drive, cleaning out any un-necessary files. I recommend AusLogic Defrag, its free and works pretty well; a lot better than the default Windows defrag programs. If neither of those work, try setting Fraps to record to a different hard drive, assuming you have multiple physical hard drives to record to.

Re: Fraps Problem
Went to check my hard drive's free memory...and it was 148 out of 149 being used...I was like HOLY SHIT! so I cleared a ton of space up...and now im only using like 32 GB out of 149. Works better and doesnt really lag now when i try and record..

Re: Fraps Problem
Not having a powerful enough gpu and cpu can also lead to problems with lag. Try recording at a lower resolution if your gpu can't handle max resolution with fraps running at the same time.
Re: Fraps Problem
Record with higher FPS.
