One interesting in the last few years I noticed before the previous beginning years of Silkroad.
Today the best build are all these dumb videos of people in capes in 1 v 1.
MMO has always been about massive number of people running around having fun. It's true nukers in these big job fights and guild wars in the past got the most kills, but they also died the most out of everyone combined. So the best build back then was the build that had high survival rate and decent damage and that was glaives.
During the 60 Cap, Ice Bladers were fun because they could tank and without alchemy, being frozen was pain in the ass. But they weren't that strong, so they were good as a nuisance to keep some INTs and others frozen.
Archers were ok, but glaives were better.
INT were ok, but being hybrid was too weak to do enough damage in the big job fights and were dying too much. So people figured in these large fights, if you were INT and going to die, might as well do as much damange possible before dying, so they went Pure.
Glaives along with archers were the build that could kill a lot, provide stuns, interrupt with KB and survive.
This was how it was from 60 Cap up to the 80 Cap in both Aege and Oasis server. Of course this was the case for a few important reasons. There are no longer any large job fights. No large Guild Wars. How many of the newer players been in a Guild War with minimum 40 players on each guild showing up for war? And then how many of the newer players who just make these lame 1 v 1 videos been in a job fight where the entire South Wall of Downwhang is covered with opposing side waiting with the other side waiting, a wall of players? Yeah I'm sure none of you again. In situations like this, the hybrid and INTs just get swamped, they die from just a bunch of glaives with their one ranged attack...
So I guess if you want to go for your 1 v 1, then hybrid blade, spear, maybe an Archer, high output any Euro is fine. Just need to survive against one attacker long enough before your 2 minute buff whatever it may be runs out. Kinda sad the state of the game is now reduced to a few people who want to let their e-peen hang out making lame videos of their 1 v 1 in cape fighting.
But then it never really mattered what build you had. I had pure INT on Oasis and had a ton of fight in the early Guild Wars and Job Fights againt 7thSign and CottonClub, BloodLine and the like. And then I had a lot of fun on Aege as a pure STR Glaive against DreamZ, Realms, Venezuela and the like. For me I had just as much fun as both, being able to survive and team up was fun or just running around bombing a few people. In these large fights, whether you were Hybrid or Pure INT, you did't use weapon skills, having 5 glaives on you is just too much, even if you were full Sun. Those NightHawk sun players went down just as fast as any when they had a bunch of glaives on them. So even Hybrids in these fights just nuke nuke, run, nuke nuke, die. Don't remember who but there was a full sun protector wearing INT sword and he went down damn fast in the guild war I was in. He also only did nukes, do weapon skills meant a very fast death.
In these large fights what was more important was how well your guild worked together in targeting key players first, keep others busy with bladers knocking them down than how many Sun weapons you had or about this supposed "skill" in SRO, which there really isn't any. But then those days are long gone it seems. That's the number on reason I quit and haven't returned. During 80 Cap myself and friends saw less job wars and less guild wars and was then we decided it was time to quit, the game had become boring. People were too busy botting to actually play the game.

reLaxx`, stop bitching at anyone..
ONTOPIC: People say there's no dominating build, 50% truth. There ís a dominating build, but it has to be in combination with player skills and gear. All together with abit of luck = Domination.

I think you have to learn what bitching is to tell me to stop doing it.
And there is no dominating build.

His opponents were horrible. I think only the wizard took out a shield when he got KD'd.. jeez. and even the wizard was bad, using blizzard in a 1v1 lmao. Probably the worst skill to use there.
Dominating.. Force glavie, bow - and warrior / cleric.
Maybe force blade.. not sure yet, and maybe pure int s/s with either 100 light or fire.
STR force with 80 fire/ 20 ice.. btw.

Bow, warrior/cleric and glaive. Bow more for 1on1 other 2 are better in job IMO.

How come nobody has even talked about a freaking PURE INT S/S NUKER [BICHEON, COLD, LIGHT] character? awesome damage? awesome defense? 60% snow shield?
Anyone?

Like we said, there is no dominating build. S/S has their strengths and weaknesses, as do all builds. It's mainly about gear and weapon that takes you more dominant.

maybe cuz str, use 20% snow, spam purification pills+vigors, firewall, wait for snow?
but there really is no dominating build, however str. have the advantage vs any int, str can can spam purification pills+vigors, int is a race against time.

imo a good str char with cleric as subclass dominates over all the others builds. can tank a wizard hitting 20k+ each quick hit for over 2 minutes by just healing himself. i mean, its kinda invincible..

I still think Rogues with daggers are a dominating build..They crit so much and so high and they have so much HP..its like a pure int with a full str HP. Only build that stops them easy is a full str blader. Dam euros
