i need to make a +5 lvl 52 shield (EU)

in vsro eu items are almost non existent, so i pretty much have to make my own lvl 52 shield with blues, and nice block ratio like 18+

the reason why im doing this is because i am going to be farming at penons at lvl 54 all the way till lvl 58..

i am such a noob at alchemy.. i need all the help i can get, how do i get stones and all that stuff. thank you guys x 1million

(edit): i was gonna buy a sos shield but ive been trying for about 3 weeks now.. and nothing sooo i gotta make my own

ON TOPIC: Well first of all, u get stones from tablets and the tablets u get from the mobs,
in this case penons.. And for making the stones u need: elements, and the elemnts u also get from the mobs.
But its not 100% that they drop everytime :S Tablets kinda hard, but the other items that they drop also known as brown small bags :P
And too make elements FROM those bags u need Void rondos wich u buy from
the fat man in hotan (Grocery Shop).. Then after u've done that,
u check what your tablets need for example:
"Jade tablet of Penetration" you need,
Fire Element (3rd Lvl.) 98 Units
Water Element (6th Lvl.) 110 Units.
Wind Element (3rd Lvl.) 98 Units.
Earth Element (7th Lvl.) 110 Units

Well this was an example, but thats the things u need to get to make a stone.
U need elements and tablets and by fusing those u get a stone

Alot of people will tell you its easy, but in my experiences with alchemy its sort of hard. I've only managed to make one +5 (a lvl 80 chinese sword) in my whole almost 4 years of SRO. I guess it really depends on your luck lol.

could take 5 elxirs, could take 200.. that's alchemy for ya

isnt that hard. just fill up your inventory with elixers and powders and sit in your lucky spot and plus away. i can usually get +5 in 50 or 100 elixers

+3 First, i always do that. Then i go grind few hours,
and when i go back, i buy 1elixirs & 1 lucky powder,
then i plus if it fails, i +3 it again.
And if it succeed i leave it at +4. Then i do the same thing again ^^

It doesn't take long for me, 10-20 elixirs max.

Suggestion;

out of my experience, save up 250 weapon elixers just to be sure, with that amount in most occasions you have enough. Also a white shield is easier to make +5 then a full blue pimped out one (speaking out of my own experiences). I'd suggest first making it +5 then try to pimp the whites/blues. Risk is though that it can be a bitch to pimp the whites.

Two things to check before doing alchemy. Pimp out random shit alot. See how lucky your character is. I've had several nub characters. My main fails at alchemy barely able to bring it to +3. My others also have similar exp. My recent one though managed to +5 everything I owned. Even a very stubborn harp i've had for a year and spent 80 mil in elixirs went to +5 in one shot using my new character. Some characters are luckier than others. So pimp around to get a feel of whether you have a luck one or not. Other thing to check is item lucky. Some item will go straight to +5 in 1 shot. Others will take several tries using up 50+ elixirs. GL.

IIRC it is stated in the help file that it is each item which has different luck and not each character..a GM long ago stated the same in the old Q&A.

And if that was true, please do explain why my main could never get past +4. Used well over 100 wep elixirs on a harp that ALWAYS failed +5. And my new character has already made 6 +5 items, one of them being the harp.

For +5 took me at least like 30... and ranges up to like around 50
