level from 41-42 taking approximately 15 hours of hardcore grinding? (on mobs lvl 35-40)
(i am also a fire/pure str/bowman)
i mean like this seems so fu**ing long.
so is this normal or not?
i don't really understand the benefits of parties either. should i join/create one?
because i am having a really hard time imagining how long it would take to get to level 100...

edit: ehh.. i heard plvling is the new style of leveling up these days.. is it really the fastest way?

Powerlevel IS the fastest, party grinding is oldschool, getting uncommon these days. Party grinding is mainly on the first few weeks of the new servers then it slips into a botting server like the rest.

Buy Powerlevel.

Yep, ever since 10d came out the entire Party matching is full of Bot 24/7 LTP's or Plvl's. If you can afford many plvl's you should just get to like 45+ then join an academy as assistant guardian (you can join at 40+ but most people don't want you at that lvl), then just hope the master plvl's you, or you get the academy buff for more xp. I also realize many people are giving their academy members 1-2m for graduating.

If your skills are maxed for your lvl and you have a premium gold ticket it should take you about 2.5 hours (maybe less) to lvl from 41-42. Without a premium gold ticket should take you about 5hrs( possibly shorter).

Getting power leveled is a lot faster tho but that's your choice. I myself been playing SRO (on and off) for 4+ years now. So when I make a new char I'd dam to do any of those quest or grind any of those lower lvl mobs that I've grind for the 100th time already. I just have a guild member or union member power lvl me to about 60+.

Wrong. If you've got a fully functioning 8/8 party *preferably euros, although a Chinese here and there isn't all that bad* it's A LOT faster then getting plvled.

Compare to a 90+ wiz? I don't think so.

On topic. Here's pretty much the way now for your lvl. If you have the gold, it's better to find a good and hopefully trusted plvl. Some will probably cost less than what you'll spend on pots. If you don't have the gold, you don't like the idea of plvl or you want to have fun and grind, definitely find a pt. Doesn't have to be full. Solo-ing just gets boring for awhile.

Thats where you're wrong...No fully functioning party can compare to how fast you can lvl when a high lvl wizz or nuker got only you alone in the share party as they 1 hit multiple mobs (even party mobs)..the rate at how fast the exp rolls in is rediculous...especially when you're the only one being power lvled.

15 hours? Back at the 60 cap, with an int spear, I think I was getting at least 50% per grind session around 4x, which was around 3~4 hours back then.

Generally you aren't the only one though.

hahahha, that's why i quit SRO on and off. i go into the game so determined, and then i quit because it takes sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to level up at such a low level even grinding at mobs about your level.

anyways... so i started looking for some "plvling" groups..
I'm assuming "taxi" means something along the lines of plvling, yes?
/sigh, most of these party titles even admit they use a bot..

A full 4 man party will give you 10% more exp than grinding without being in one.

A share party shares the exp, duh. If you can get 7-8 people together, preferable a couple int euro's in there you will get a good bit more exp then solo'ing. With a cleric and good party setup you guys could go to mobs a little higher than yourself.

Powerleveling will cost gold unless you have a high level friend. It is by far the fastest way to level if you have a decent level powerleveling you.

An 8/8 Euro party, with 2 tanks, 1 cleric, 3 wizards, and 2 bards, will give more exp than a powerlevel.

Why? Because tanks lure, clerics keep them alive, bards heal MP, and Wizards nuke everything.
I bet half of you closet botters have never even had an 8/8 Euro party after level 50.
I knew people who could get 1-90 in 1 month with a Prem +, only jumping in Euro parties.

Powerleveling is much more effective than share parties, at lower levels. I'd say it stops being as good around 60. you can get 1-40 in a day with powerleveling.. would love to see someone do that in a share pt of low levels.

if you don't want to get powerleveled / don't have the money etc then share parties are better than 4/4 soloing.. but this game is so filled with bots it'll be hard to find a party.. especially at a lower level.

Dear god seriously? We are arguing that party grinding is more effective than powerleveling at level 41?? A high level wiz (90+) powerleveling him will out level a party.

94 wizard + low lvl + lvl 41 is going to get exp faster than a share party.

This changes once you get higher in level, but at 41? Powerleveling is faster. No one said anything about enjoying the game, I just said it was faster.

Not at level 41. Not to mention a dual powerlevel with two wizards. I have euro partied past 50, thats how I got my warrior/warlock to 100. 99 Party mobs.

ofy1993 wrote:a little higher? You can go on mobs 9 lvls higher then you.

And with no high lvl leaching a LOT of the xp, you WILL get more xp in a party then plvl.

That's not so easy when your in the 30s-40s. You don't usually have pimped out gear at those levels, evn with clerics and warriors to buff 9 levels can be tough.. if one key guy goes down the whole party does. Higher levels, hell yeah you can go 9 lvls+.

/massive facepalm

You can plvl someone by hand.

Here I'll explain how. I have a high level wizard and you are level 40. I make a share party, you join and we go to mugiji, I kill party mobs while you sit and watch, chat, get on vent with me, w/e. See how that works?

15 hours for level 41 is way to much. I remember with my 42+3 glaive I was grinding uhh..those red monkey things..whatever they're called and I got from 40-45 in about 2 weeks.
