Warning: New AutoLogin System bug Infinite Waiting list

Please note, rev6.com just posted that there is a bug with the new Login system.
Reason is:
[rev6] rev6 News: 2009-07-14 - Sad news Auto Login Silkroad + Bug
The new Silkroad Auto-Login is not a Queue based auto-login. It is in fact just a normal auto-login. Every user who try to login retry to login each 15 seconds or each 3 ping sent to the server.
Also there is a bug in the new login system where you are waiting to login to infinity
In other word, the new auto-login == FAILED! withing 24 hours, so everyone who was online this morning on the server capacity, the option #1 won Joymax bug within 24 hours.
Please everyone contact Joymax and let them know their auto-login system doesn't work 100%. They need to do the next test:
Login to a server that is crowded (let say 200 people try to login to the same server) simultaniously but it full so they are all waiting and retrying each 15 seconds. 2 users ask to login simultaniously, they both receive a there is a free spot on the server, one user login first, the 2nd user try to login but receive a server full, that user is redirected to the login server again, but this user will NEVER TRY to login to the game server anymore.
For everyone waiting to login to the server, if you haven't connected within 5 minutes, close silkroad and re-open it. Please note you are not loosing your spot in a queue list, this isn't a queue list system and also this prevent you of being in an infinite queue list and will never login.
So basically as soon as you successfully login to the game server, yet the game server tell you that it full and send you back to the login system (this is where people without loader get DC or people with loader goes back to the login and keep trying to login) well joymax auto-login system doesn't keep trying to login, it just idle there for infinity.
How to detect if you are waiting in an infinite lineup?!?

So from my understanding, server-side nothing changed.
Client-sided they installed a auto-login which just click connect each 15 seconds, if successfully connected to the game server, it stop the auto connect. (even though sometime you are sent back to the login system, in that case your stuck)
While clientless bot auto connect 3 times per seconds?
We as normal user connect once every 15 seconds...
Hopefully Joymax will ban all the clientless user?
I mean they can detect who ever connect faster than once every 15 seconds...
But why didn't they implemented a queue list system?

Well there a bug in it, fell free to ignore them.
Bug might start being obvious by tomorrow.
Here I was using Wireshark which is a free packet sniffer (can't inject packet)
If you go on a server that is full, you will see that it send the connect each 15 seconds.
As soon as it connect to a server, fail, go back to login server.
It never tryed to login anymore, it was just sending the Ping Pong packet.
Fell free to use a packet sniffer anyone who want to confirm.
All it mean is that your client get stuck after trying to login once.
Also since the client try to login each 15 seconds, it is highly possible that it took you 40 min to login, but as soon as there will be a LOT of user connecting simultaniously, this bug mean that each user that try to login simultaniously.
1 of them will login while all the other, will go back to the login system without any chance of login in afterward.

It obviously will be better when the bug has been taken cared of...

So what your saying is that the system works just like holding the enter key in accept it only hits the enter key every 15 seconds.
So this means your not actually waiting in a queue and waiting to be next in line to enter the server.
And if thats the case screw that. I'd rather wait behind the person in front of me then doing that. Almost makes it sound like a "Special" NO-DC client. lolz

is this bad for gotbots though?, I think clientless spam enter like every 2 damn seconds, so now all who try to login must wait 15 sec to try to relog again?, if true is somewhat better then before. if clienless bot can still spam enter like every damn 2 sec while others must wait 15 sec. fck that. then again I have premium lol.

From what I was told, if you spam too fast, you get instant DC.
So anyone trying to make an application to force joymax auto-reconnect to try faster than one time each 20 seconds, risk of being Disconnected and marked as could be banned.
Which is why server aren't that crowded, only way for clientless to connect, is if they connect in the first few try, if they are stuck there for a while, they get DCed on the login server.
Obviously after the DC they reconnect and retry... >.>
Or if clientless retry each 20 seconds like everyone else...
We would need Joymax to confirm it or a clientless user to confirm this...

Joymax Pretty much gave non botters a much less hassle free logging. It might get bugged, but no big deal, you'll notice anyway and just restart the client. Much much better than restarting it everytime or waiting on 1000 gold bots in front of you. (Rev6 noted that there are over 6000 active accounts on my server, 75% of which are probably gold bots.)

Lol what? I am confussed by your ****, care to explain? Why are you on the General Discussion if you don't care about this game? Why don't you quit and make logging in the for the rest of us a tiny bit easier.

For me it is good, i havent been able to log in for like 2 weeks lol, and now once i updated my client, launched and left there and went to eat, when i came back i was in! finally after 2 weeks!
so i like it till now. U can also notice that almost every server is not crowded, there are spots open. Hope joymax keep things going like now for more than a week.

its not even a login system, joymax just made a crappy autologin
i would rather click myself every 3 seconds, then get auto click every 20 seconds and wait hours to login.

According to a website I found, this is what the new login system will mean:
"when you start up the auto-connect of silkroad, there will be send an attempt to login every 20 secs or so. after about 10/30 minutes the autoconnect will stop sending login attempts, but it will say that its still trying to connect. so its best to re-start the sro_client every 10/30 minutes if you didnt login in that time."
Personally I was totally excited when I logged in almost instantly yesterday, but Im a little reluctant in that enthusiasm today, since its taking me a little over 20min and nothing still.
