can someone explain to me why staffs cost so damn much? what makes staff worth more then any other weapon?

They aren't "worth" more. The demand is bigger for them, because more people make wizards,yet the supply is the same as with any other weapon. That makes each staff worth more.

they go for way more then it cost to make the same damn weapon, even tho i know the rules of supply and demand, its still dumb and they are still way over priced.

And There is normaly more staffs that people sell than some other weapons, im Lvl 42 1H Warrior/Cleric and its hard to find anyone selling 6d Sword or Shield at stall, but when you searh for staves, there si usually atleast 6 staffs of that degree.

i wish it was like that for xian, u gotta check everytime to get a staff to show up

if u want weapons 2 be cheaper go glavie or bard... they seemed 2 be cheaper

it still doesnt justify the unfair prices on staffs.

and isnt that why anyone makes any char? because its the one they want...

the reason is because all weapons drop at the same rate. there are more wizzards then any other build so say there was 1000 staffs and there are 2000 wizzies then as you can see there is a high demand for them? got it so far?
then when you want to buy a staff the prices are high because those people with 1/1000 staffs know that you want them because there arent many around. therefore people buy them at that price and everyone realises that you can sell them at that price.

however if you went harp there are say 500 bards to 1000 harps therefore you can get a harp cheap and easy also people know that not many people want them so to sell quickly they need to lower the prices

like i said in my earlier post, if you even bothered to read it, i understand the simple concept of supply and demand. im basically just bitching to be honest.

and i really doubt there are truley that many 7d wizards that makes it okay to sell a damn 52+4 staff for 50mil. (dont know the exact plus it was 4 or 5 and the exact price but it was something of this nature)

I see that you're venting but still, it;s harsh but true, everyone is wizard so everyone wants a staff.

You never know, you could find a bargin.

Also, gold buying has also screwed up the economy, inflating prices, that could also play a role.

You know, instead of wasting your gold on +'s in network, just buy an npc and do minor pimping.

Old school leveling. If you can't find shit, buy npc and live with it. It's not the end of the world.

na dont go npc. you can find non blue but some good %'s lieing around that are as cheap if not cheaper then npc.

High demand. The wonderful world of the economy, whether real or not. On swsro since not very many people use armor (and I'm full int bow using armor) it's a really low price. Just bought lv 43 sos armor shoulders for 500k. Not many people needing armor so it's all at a low price.

Since there is a really large amount of people that want staffs there are less staffs which makes the price go higher.

buying and pimping them my self is what i have be doing.

thats the best way to make money but u need luck, time and a market. if people dont even aprove of your stuff its a no. and u only get a market when u get to the "i can buy a sos" stage..

thats how i made all my gold, buying reselling, and buying pimping and re selling.
