Hello old, young, and new players of the silkroad.
I am a player of this condemned game. I have been playing since 2007. The silkroad is full of fun and value, but only if people are willing to embrace it.
This game has been ruined by botters, scammers, spammers. However, i strongly believe that we can change it.
I know many of you have powerful characters on other servers and have spent countless silk and valuable time in attempt to level up. Why do you level up and spend silk? To have fun, to beat botters.
I know how many of you are feeling. We legits are spread thin across the many servers, uniting in small bands in counteracting the bots. But in the process of doing so, we lose ourselves, and our values, the prime example: NB and Fly (Lets not get into the heated debate about those attention, trolling whores)
I have a suggestion. I say, out of pure fun, we all make new characters on a venus. We will have fun. Now that the Avalon oppression has left, we can re-colonize venus and re-instate its past glory as the home of the legit. We will NOT be ruled by a biatch ditactor, but by a experienced, helpful, caring diplomat.
Remenber, nothing will happen if we don't try. I know all of you love this game if not for the botters. This will be the legit's last stand. I am trying to help. Please, if you guys think this idea is ridiculous, please do tell me.
I am counting on this as the last stand for the dying legitimacy of the silkroad.

I understand some players are unwilling to try. I also get it that this might be a stupid idea. But i was thinking we'd try anyways out of pure fun. I want to play this game. I want to have fun. I think other people on this forum want the same, a good community, strong guild, fun players, and the "good old times"
I am not guaranteeing anything, i have not expectations, only hopes.

Why make new characters on Venus if you either...

A) Already have established characters there already. Why spend even more money trying to level up a different character if you already have a high level in that server?

B) Farming is a bitch, getting everyone on the same power-curve is going to be difficult.

C) Frankly, most of us here who don't play on Venus have established characters on other servers that took our time, patience, and money to make; and we really don't feel like giving all that up just to join another server who has had a legitimate-turned-hypocritical past, and is now like every other server. Full of bots, or the former closet botter claiming legit there now openly bots. That's a negative there, Ghostrider.

D) Most of us are waiting for better games to come out, personally, after I reach 100 full farmed, that is the limit I will go for this game unless they drastically change the leveling requirements. 110 cap with current SP requirements? Screw that shit.

Yep, farming sucks, but who said we will farm? Screw farming, we will worry about that when we cross that bridge. But for now, just make new chars, chill, grind a bit, have fun, do runs, etc.

It's nice to play with all legits out there but this will be tough or won't be accomplished. Even though we all go in 1 server, it will not change the fact that there will still be botters specially gold botters, that I will still need to get Prem to log in right away and as a legit, you should know how hard to start over. My char is curently lvl 99 almost FF for 100 and lvl 100 soon. I have average amount of gold and average gear. It won't be easy to leave this and start all over. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. But goodluck and ty for effort.

I don't know what others feel, but I have abosulte no feeling about starting Sro again. That's because all the fun this game had was before euro update.
I can't start again in Jg and see only 90+ botters there. I can't walk arround stronghold seeing no one or only 90+ wizz waiting for TG. I can't do any trades passing throu the crossroads and not thinking about the time there was actually fun.
A new start will actually turn out bad for those players.

If you really want to bring more fun to your server(or yourself), try to convince other people to play... friends of you who don;t play this game and tell them to create a char on your server.

I played Diablo 2 on Bnet these days and I actually had fun. Sro in these days is only a battle for power: who have the most suns, the most gold, who's a better thief, who's the best unique killer...

Why not just do this on tSro so there isn't 24/7 Traffic and NO GMs.

tSro gets unique events from time to time and it awesome.

thats not the point... people want to join servers they feel welcome on. isro is the home of the UK and america and it should be that way.

im sorry but ur wrong too lol
bots can multi client and take up legit spaces in the server. Venus kept it up for some time but one bot to every 10 legits was enough for them to win. they multi client 10 accounts and get to a higher level then the legits who are unable to play as much and they win the server. gratz venus for trying but its jm that should do the hard work not us.

Is there really anything else to do? (im not sure where the fun comes from though) I think everybody on this board knows that what ever you end up doing in botroad, it will consist of 98% grinding.

Hell, the only characters I even have in Venus is a level 38 Wizard/Cleric that I stopped using after the whole, "MaliceArmy moving to Venus" stint was over; and a Level 11 Bard/Cleric named MelodyOfLife (I'm sure you may have seen some globals from that character xD), both on the same account. Oh yeah, I forgot I had a Warlock/Cleric but has some Wizard skills that I need to delevel; last I remember, it was level 20ish.

Plus, if anyone even does this, I would preferred to be full farmed for multiple reasons:

Makes getting new gear easier, and with Euros, gear has everything to do with Mastery level.

No one likes 9 gapping at a high level, trust me I know how this is like, and it is hard to get a party at Level 99 mobs when my skills are not full-farmed.

Having new skills as you obtain the level is a great thing to have.

i dont know how u venusiuns did it. i thought i leveled fast but u guys really took it home so gratz on u guys! however... there is a limit. the limit "barrier" can be lowered or increased by joymax. currently the limit is set to high for legits and very low for bots. no one can help this.. only joymax
