With all due respect, I hope MODs don't close this thread.
However, I do hope MOD could help clean the flames of the thread.
Let the poll speak for itself.

Many dedicated members has been banned.
We want them back.
I was a hater long ago, but I prefer SRF the way it was.
We want EB off.
We want respected members unbanned.
We want the old SRF back.

SRF is a community forum, atleast for me it is.
When EB came, it was because the admins listen and act apon.
I hope the same goes for this.

I can think of 3 people who if got unbanned, I'd stop coming here >_>

If EB was taken out, I'd vote for the banned to stay banned (Of course some were really nice that got banned, in the recent months)

Not that I care 'cause I don't bot 'cause I only play tsro (and esro when it comes out), but seriously, half of these threads turn into bot accusations or something about bots even when they are about something totally different.

MMO_Doug was another good guy who was banned.

i say no because if we do its just going to show a sign of weakness......we stop banning botters they will just come back. why stop after we started it? why should something we start stop because good people got banned? so what if there is less people here and most start flame wars about bots they will even if EB is gone.

The rules should be straight forward, trolls are the ones that should b banned.
U flame, u get warned and eventually banned if you keep it going.
Things changed overtime.
I think it would be better for SRF in the long run if EB is taken off.
Good ppl is the reason y ppl stay, and some of them are the ppl who actually contribute to SRF.

There was always bot accusations as far as I can remember and there will always be them even if the section goes away...There's no real point in this..

I mean, yeah those were like... Legend Members on this forum, but as someone said "You cheat, (No matter how) you banned".
It makes no sense. There are many sub-forums where you could posibility get banned, expose yourself or someone else.

Anyways, i'd say for no. This is a good way to make this forum clean out of botter, so they will not infest the 'legits' ones.
Still you didn't stated why you want to take off EB cleary.

Yes, it's a comunity, but also a gamer forum so it's makes the forum bigger and diverse (And the rules as well). I don't have anything against banned members, i just keep thinking that taking off EB will have no effect at all...

And sorry if i'm being ignorant, cause i don't know the reason which some of the banned members have been banned. I'm assuming they 'exposed' themselves.

anyways EB is a place where people can get the people who disrespect the rules banned. it gives time to mods so they don't have to search for botters because members are already doing the work for them. i for one dont see how SRF would improve with EB gone there will still be people flaming other people about botting start bot accusing so on and so on. if someone steals something but yet they contributes to the community does fund raisers and such does that make it right? the fact is they still stole something they still broke the rules.......only a corrupt community would let him walk free. then the fact that SRF = legit forum so letting botters stay here would make SRF corrupt now wouldn't it? if SRF = corrupt then that makes a safe heaven for botters so honestly is it worth it?

If we unbanned all of the people who got banned, only about 1% of them were actually worth having around on this forum. The rest are obnoxious.

The main people I'd like to see come back who actually helped out on the forum, didn't get banned because of botting, but because of other reasons. So why don't we get rid of all the rules why we're at it? *kidding*

Again, Who? There's lots of "good guy's" out there who get banned. Verfo was one of them. But he knew that botting was against our rules here at SRF and turned himself in. Just because your a "good guy" doesn't mean the rules don't apply to you, or that you should get special treatment.

I agree that rules are set in place and are meant to be followed. However, there are times when rules must change. It's partially due to stupid, old idealism and rules set down from the past that humankind was so slow to advance.

I'm alright with the anti-bot promoting policy and encouraging a healthy community. I do not find it as appealing to read new post and watch them do the follow:

I use to enjoy reading this forums. In my opinion bot accusations shouldn't be allowed on the forums at all. The accusation section led to a lot of members being banned and caused nothing but flame wars.
"oh you're a bot and I have proof"
"No I'm not you're lying, you're a..."

This forums used to be a nice little source of character builds or even measurement. When I first found this forums it was pretty cool. You had all these high levels around discussing their builds, what type of equipment they're wearing or what your stats should look like.
Personally, it would be cool just to bring back those types of threads. It's just getting old with the whole, "this shit's impossible, I quit" crap.

I feel that envy (whether you like to believe it or not) led to the downfall of this forums. It's pretty inactive these days, and there not too much useful SRO contributions anymore.

I can honestly careless about how to manage to farm and level up to 100, it was pretty damn nice back in 70 and early 80 cap where people would show off their stuff or contribute on what made their build special. Sure there's a huge difference in game play now, but honestly get over it. It's dull and boring where every other topic someone's making a poor bot pun, a poor accusation, or just point out the same implications of botting.
