I'm curious, why is exposed botters still going...

I've been looking back recently and thinking. Why is that branch of the forum still up? The days when it was erected was back when a majority of the players here were very anti-bot. They were trying to help push for a better gaming experience and hoping that they could set a good example. Now-a-days, this community mostly doesn't even play this game, but simply come on to reminisce.
I've seen new members post about stuff like "why does my loader not work", etc. and get a quick ban. Why are the rules still so strict. The number of botters has grown while the remaining legits declined. So many people with good input have left this forum due to botting. IMO, exposed botters today has turned from a virtuous campaign against online cheating to a haven for people who have personal vendettas against someone else and can only come up with being banned from SRF as a way to get them back.
Honestly, I think the rules should be modified to: No discussion or posting links to getting bots. Loaders should be allowed as I'm still not sure how they are the same as bots. If someone who knows more about these could explain, it would be nice, but they'd prob risk getting banned for a week >_>. I always thought the purpose of this forum was to promote healthy gaming and have fun within an online community. Not browse through thousands of screenshots searching for 1 little hint of a loader or botter of someone you hate just so you can get off later that night. As long as no one purposely starts going "WOO Botting is great, here's link to 20 diff bots", it should be alright imo.
Owell, another random topic by me. Let me see what you guys think. Should exposed botters still be up? Should the rules remain at their current levels? Maybe i'm just too laxed in this war. Maybe anyone who dares to use the word "bot" in a post should be perm IP banned from accessing this site.

1. Loaders and bots give unfair advantages over legits. Granted, one is a lot more of an advantage, but still.
2. I don't think the rules should change. Otherwise we'd have to deal with tons of dumb botters who got banned coming back and being like "Oooh but the rules have changed now so we come back kk?"
3. I'd rather not turn into the next rev6.
In the end, I like the rules as they are and think they should remain the same.

well, the mods are nazist. If members say yes, but the mods say no, there is nothing you can do. Members' voice has no value.

Because people ASKED for it and were very vocal about it. I'm not sure why, but the mods granted the majority's wish, and voila. Why is it still here - Does it really matter?
It's fine with me to leave it where it is. I'm thinking about quitting SRO anyway. Summertime gets me outdoors and I have a few house projects to work on.
and Silo...that's pure troll and you know it.

I don't mind about bots. ( I am not a bot supporter, in case anyone gets me wrong there).
But look at cSRO, almost every chinese player there uses a bot, does it ruin the gameplay? No. There are still euro parties at the higher level because they are fun and you can get faster drops with it. Is it impossible to log in? No, because normal bots don't fill the server. Gold bots are the problem, that's why the GM's should ban them. Then everything will be okay.

I couldnt agree more.

I don't see how you can't mind bots. Their cheaters, I dislike cheaters. Also, if there weren't any bots at all you'd have parties from level 1-100.
Members have a voice. Yet when it comes down to it the Mods are in charge, they get the final say. And you forget, the Mods were all members themselves at one point. And still are.

back in the day, people were whining about closet botters
hanging around on srf. we opened EB, people started whining
about their friends turning out to be closet botters and
getting banned.
EB remains because srf is still a haven for the bunch of
legit players that still remain in sro. yes, the rules are
strict, but people have a choice to bot or not, and those
that do cheat on the game, taking out all the fun for those
who don't cheat.
you cheat, you get banned.
it's that simple.
and mods being nazi's? i consider that disrespect. silo
has hereby been warned. your 2nd warning that's still
active i see. hmmm. pfff, warned as well. omg i really
am as bad as you guys thought.
if you really wanted to make this a "hear my suggestion"
topic, you should have posted it in site discussion. posting
something like this in GD is just an easy way of attention
whoring.
if you don't like the way this forum works, you're free to
go.
