hey guys and gals. i know there is a topic like this somewhere on the forum. i think it is time for new one. people upgrade all the time, the old one would be out of date. also i got a new system so i wanted to show it off and see what other have.
lets get started. here is the format for this.
Silk road Graphic settings
screen size:1024X768 window mode so i can see other windows
Graphic: high
i am at work so i cant remember what setting are set but they are all high other then shadow and water detail.
pc specs:
screen size:22" lcd widescreen
video card: Evga GTX 260 216 core
cpu: Intel Quad Q9400 @ 2.66 (had it to 3.3 but did not want to keep the fans running all the time to keep it cool.)
ram:4 GB g.skill 6400
mother board: Evga 750i FTW SLI
hard drive: 2 x 640 gb wd in raid0
case: CM 690 best case ever made!
power supply: corsair 750 watt

-Edit: you already resized them
I got about the same specs:
Graphics: Asus ENGTX260
CPU: Core 2 Quad Q9400
RAM: 4GB Fireheat 1066mhz
Motherboard: Gigabyte EP43-S3L
Case: Antec Three Hundred
Power supply: Chieftec 500W (thinking of upgrading)
Running SRO @ 1680x1050 (1152x864 window mode for ECSRO) all high except detailed shadows (so badly coded it lags in Jangan and Hotan)
Can run Crysis at all high without lagging whatsoever (FPS drops to 25-ish when viewing big area's though)
Running Vista Ultimate 64bit

Edit:
I also have a laptop, i forgot
CPU: Pentium Dual Core T2390 (1.86ghz)
Memory: 3GB DDR2-800
Graphics: Onboard crappy 384mb shared thing
Runs SRO @ 1280x800 (max res) with everything low, lags badly in town and barely reaches 20fps out of town

I use it as a staller most of the time though, i just put it on 800x600 window mode then.

Haha I love how people still measure "graphic power" or whatever you wanna call it by playing Crysis on high/very high setting even though the game is almost 2 years! old XD

i guess you don't understand how advanced the game engine is in that game. it is still after 2 years one of the best games to test cards on.

I didn't mean it in a negative way, i know how brutal the graphics in this game are

My pc (last upgrade was about 1 year ago) still has a hard time to keep the fps above 24 when i run on high

Hmm I dont know how much Far Cry 2 requires since i never played it, but it seems it need alot of power aswell, same goes for GTA4 and FSX. For some reason GTA4 is really buggy for me even when playing on the lowest settings:S I also never tried to put FSX to the max because even on medium graphics its lagging out my computer

GTA4 is really graphics intense yeah, it fills up my entire graphical memory to the max when i play it, you can see it in the option menu, i can't make the graphics go any higher as medium-high, it does run well though.

You can run silkroad on high settings with a pretty poor computer spec as the only thing that is actualy high system req is the realtime shadows.

I hear ya on that.. I built mine in pieces.. Upgrading as I got a little spare cash here and there. Started with 2GB..then 4 then 8. 8800GT stepped up to 9800 (almost a yr ago). Upgraded mobo from Gigabyte.. Watercooling is from 3 previous rigs. Single hard drive then 2..then 3. Old shitty case to CM. etc etc.

Interesting case.. we have the same DVD drive too.

lol thats exactly how I did it with mine , I bought my first gaming pc off ebay , 300$ lil piece of crap with a completely clear acrylic case , then it went from there ..I think the first thing I did was buy a gigabyte S-series mobo , with the Q6600 quadcore, only had 1gb ram and a 250w power supply lol
went from gigabyte to asus P5Q pro after my gigabyte failed when i was trying to overclock ( the whole thing just fried out and it was done lol) , stuck with the quad core , went to 4gb ram then got the power supply
after i put the heatsink in , thats when i went to 3.4 ghz
im slowly saving for a new video card , i got the XFX 8600 right now and it sucks horribly , cant even overclock the piece of crap.
lawl

ASUS ftw, love the P5Q. I had a E6400 before this E5200, E6400 maxed at 3.4Ghz. This E5200 runs 4Ghz all day long. Could probably go higher just haven't been assed to mess with it.
OP: What soundcard is that above your gpu? Or is it an add-on card for the evga board? I know back when I had a DFI board it had something similar.

Because some people are interested in PC's / pc cases / pc hardware. Just like posting specs of your car and a picture. Hit backspace if you don't like it?

I'm a computer engineer, this kind of stuff interests me.

Ram: OCZ 8gb 800mhz (1:1 ratio with FSB)

Gfx: EvGa 285 Slightly OC'd, EvGa 8600gt running Physx (old card)
Case: NZXT Alpha
