STANDBOTS in the towns.. I think i figured..

As you all know, there are lots of stand bots (the ones just stand in towns without moving) in every town in every fcking server.

I think I figured why they are there. Here is my guess:

Maybe gold companies discovered that Joymax can detect their gold bot chars buy their buy-sell packets. So they are doing this:

Grindingbot1 goes grinding and when it is out of pots or it's inventory is full or it's weapon is broken, returns to city, comes near to one of the NPC's and gives the items/materials/gold to Standbot1 and takes pots from it.

Standbot1 does all selling/buying/making materials/storing processes.

By this way they are hard to be detected. Because the grinding bots never contact with any of the NPC's and Standbots never grind.

This is just my theory, I am not sure.

No I think that would be a ton of pointlessness. The gold bots are really easy to detect by other means. Interaction with an npc can easily be simulated with no problems. This game and many others are very simple. You send the server info, it reads that, and sends a response. Get the right info, and you can get what ever response you want. It makes no difference if there is a client present or not. The client is just a gui to make things understandable to our simple minds, and to make us give them money.

They are just storage, that’s all.

why would gold companies be worry lol? JM don't ban goldbots only spam bots...or maybe 5 at most goldbots.

Many players have said that those are elixirs accounts. Gold companies sell elixirs. they do not sell them on trade. they give u a full account aka. lvl1 account. for fast sell, they already have them login waiting for a buyer. I'm believing that this is true.

This would be better:

Code: Select all

puts 'Would you like to troll (y/N)'
forumTroll = gets.chomp

while true
  if forumTroll == ( y | Y )
    troll = 'not a prob in exsro ;-)'
    width = 50
    puts troll.center(width)
  else
    break
end

:P

Joymax doesn't have to crowd the server. They could just lower the capacity. Only open 1,000 slots instead of 3,500. Then they get more premium sales.

no then they would only have goldbots logged on.

Even tho i read your replies and it seems you don't think this is the reason.... i agree with the topic starter.

It makes perfectly sense to me. The goldbots would get tons of elexirs etc. and i actually think this is why. Good explanation :)

So you think joymax all of a sudden decided "oh hey, we can fill the servers and make people buy premiums!!". I think not. They would have just kept server capacity at 1500-2000 if that was their goal.

The groups of bots most likely (98% sure) belong to gold selling companies. What are they doing? Who cares, they're logged in taking spots. That's all that matters.

But, the idea that they are being used as storage accounts for the goldbots makes the most sense.

that is my assumption as well.

the goldbot companies sell elixirs by the account. so these nubs are standing in town waiting to be filled with elixirs. then when an account is full it is logged out and added into the sales queue.

simple deduction. elementary my dear Watson.

They are elixer accounts gold companies sell to you. I know people who buy them to make +9s.

my thoery is, that the standbots are not from goldbots.

they were made from us players who are sick of goldbotters so they make alot of them, just to open Joymaxs eyes.

the stand bots are usually for storage or SPAMMING!!!! that u already have banned...

bots which hav ran out of bot ticket...
bots which script bugged...
bots which ran out of money buying pots...
chars left theyre pc on that just cba to log in again..

loads of reasons!

It's Joymax's way to fill up the servers to encourage you to buy premium tickets.

Many things makes sense but I've been wondering: I fthere wouldn't be any players would servers be only crowded by bots and none real player in them? Would that make Joymax to listen.
Only Botters--> they Don't sell anything --> they Leave --> Now Joymax has no real players and no bots either.
I know Im bit mad :)

I highly doubt that Joymax is putting them there to fill the server. They run the game, they can put the chars wherever they want, why put them plainly in sight in town? More than likely it's gold companies selling elixers, ect. as some people already suggested.

What if they put them there to make you think they're stand bots; so when they ban them, you think they really are banning bots.

Stop spreading lies. If Joymax wanted to ensure the servers are always full, they could just lower the capacity if there are empty slots. They could use the excuse that less available slots means less characters online, which means less lag, which means a better gaming experience. :P

CrimsonNuker wrote:What if they put them there to make you think they're stand bots; so when they ban them, you think they really are banning bots.

Let's just assume for a moment that you're correct. Joymax IS creating these bots, logging them in, then banning them.

Wouldn't it be a better approach for Joymax to turn on GameGuard (or a better replacement), log off the 1,000+ Joymax bots per server (and post a final ban list - they're not coming back), decrease server capacity by 1,000 (for less lag, better gaming experience), and bring GMs back to actively ban any remaining non-Joymax bots? The legit community would be overwhelmed with joy and flood the Item Mall with silk purchases as they all get back into the game hardcore. :-D

Seems pointless for Joymax to create bots just to ban them and make themselves look good. Do police departments do that? Do they bring in hundreds or thousands of criminals just so they can arrest them all and make the department look good to the community?
