When you call someone a "noob" do you remember/know how noob you was/is ?

When I began the game(2 weeks after item mail stalling was banished), I was so much un and misinformed . I heard things like : goldbot , 1* popping and read things which I didn't understand. From these I remember 4 things, which I think were actually funny from my present point of view

.

1 ) I though that the word "goldbot" means bots, who uses gold ticket to level faster.

2 ) I didn't use Flame Body Series(physical damage buff), because I took seriously the skill description :
The Fire Force Mastery includes the step to maximize the power of the martial art by giving out and bursting up the energy of the fire to the outside. This is the absolute martial art, but requires the caution because it has the aftereffect that the body is not endured and burned or is stricken.

I didn't want burn status from that little damage buff

3 ) After a week or so the game started to get boring , because I though that there are only 4 lines of skills at each masterety,(after getting the 4th skilline 1st book at lvl14-16 , the next one was lvl25+ at the 1th skillline) when I realised that the skill book can be actually scrolled down

. I was so happy !

4 ) When I finally reached lvl20 I decided to go on a 1* trade. With my friend in my party, we reached the bugs. Then suddenly a lvl52+ player thief started to come to us. I was so worried cause I had never been in such a situation. I stopped. The thief stopped next to me. I was thinking about what I read in the game manual about triangle conflict, and 1* trade runs. After 30 sec waiting, I decided to welcome the thief and continue my journey, but while I was typing, 2 lvl52+ npc thief pwned us , and then the thief collected our loot.
It was a hard lesson to learn about 1* popping :banghead:

Haha nice, when i started playing i didn't know that you could use skill + imbue togheter so it was hard to lvl. I also raised some of this, some of that. ^^

I left my pure int at lvl38, cause I thought it's weak. Then when I reached lvl30 with my glavier, I saw on screenshots and videos, that nukers were using imbue with nukes. I went back and wow... I got a damn strong character

i sold my first sos drop to pot seller, i was thinking that it is just nice item and nothing special

I remember my first noob thing: I was chinse Full Str Glavie and when I was lvl 18 then i saw force trees, I didn't know anything about Cold,Fire,Lightning or Force before i saw them ^^

Remember when i got my first weapon elixer, and a friend told me it was worth 200k gold!
i was like Wow, 200k, im rich xD!

And meh, when i started trading, i did it with a friend, both level 20.. we couln't handle earthghosts yet, we planned out the safest route to reach jang from DW, and teamed up on the demon horses, if we encounterd one xD
And if we got 1* popped usualy our -level 64-68 at that time- guildmaster would come and help us

i used to think she was like the strongest on troy togheter with an other guy from our guild.

haha I remember that i reached 20 and saw the murder info but i didn't read it, so i just murdered some random ppl. then i had to repot and i died (5k return scroll -.-')
when i run out, i noticed i can't use a horse, and when i run out of jg south, the ppl there pvping kill me xD
i dropped my lvl 16 som glavie and was like :banghead:

(guildmate gave it to me)

it was so lol xD

I really miss those times, then servers weren't so full because of bigger bot bans (over 10 000 Bots banned per week, now just 1000-3000 :cry:

I used to didin't know there were more than 1 party page on match... so I used to tell them I diidn't see party # until like 30 minutes later when it got onto first page

I don't remember how many stories i told in the other thread, but here's another one. A friend of mine (let's say Gerge) was plvling another guy (Let's say Peter) at white spiders. And Gerge told Peter to stay exactly on the crossroad (to the dark cave) because there is 100% safe and no one can kill him. And it was competely safe for about an hour, when some big blue flying thing appeared on his head and killed him. Later they realized that the spot is indeed 100% exept when Izuytaru spowns there ^^

my first build had all masteries. bicheon pacheon heuksal fire cold light and force! i didn't realize why would people post build guides and stuff when you can get EVERY skill available and be pro! 300/300 don't ya hate that!

my first sos (16 sos garm wrist female) was sold to the herbalist in jangan. :oops:

when i was 2x at hyungos i didn't know murder status existed so i pressed alt and murdered a bot thinking it was pvp then a 5x guy in thief suit (i think it was Impulse) pk'd me and i drop my armor chest

i almost quit after this.. :oops:

i can't think of anything else atm. also, i hardly ever call anyone a noob anyway.

Lmao I remember reading the game manual about cerberus before I ever logged in. I was thinking, shit he would be scary to ever find.

When I was grinding at movias, it said "Cerberus has appeared" And I ran back into town scared xD

Oh oh oh I used to always think, sell everything in your stall for about double the price as the npcs would buy it.

So my first elixirs I stalled was 40k each. Wow, they sold so fast lmfao.

i didn't know you could even use skills till level ~10

(I was just hitting normal hits w/ a spear/glaive). I found out i could add stat points when i was like 17 >.>. And i remember me and my friend always tried to make the balances 70% each, thinking that with 70% magical and phy we could do autoshare parties :banghead:

I used to use magical defense buffs even when I was fighting physical mobs. That's about it. Oh yeah, I also used to do pot-less cape PvP while I was grinding. Those were the days.

lol, i did the same thing, except that i sold them for 50k instead of 40 and when sold i thought whoa, now im so badass

(it was weapon elixir btw).

anyway i did not know that i can actually use the skills 'till about lvl 20, i kept attacking with doubleclick :banghead:

Stalled like my only SoS drop for 5k (was like a lvl 8 glove)...

When I finally gathered around 200k I bought a wep elix and I was like omfg I'm gonna pimp my wep, yeah it failed cuz I didn't use a lucky powder -_-

And ofcourse the scrolling part at lvl 20+

i remember my first days on SRO, the guy who introduced me to the game took me from jangan to hotan on foot to show me the places and some mobs, when we were reaching hotan my friend killed a mob and i got a return scroll, wich i had never seen, so i used it and then asked my friend what was that for, suddenly i teleported to jangan xD and i couldnt reach hotan for my first time cuz my friend was like "¬¬ idiot!!"

hehe funny noob moments, I liked the skill book scrolling down one.

I think my noobest moment was not realizing you could use imbues with nukes untill like level 40, then i was like wow! didnt know you could do that.

Also siting down to recover mp during grinding.. omg how noob is that.

From what I've seen most people (including me) only discovered that skills could be scrolled down at arround lvl 12-18

On the begin of ouf silkroad gaming (dec 08) we played the game whole night, me with a notebook and a friend in the same room on his pc till 6,00 AM on TUESDAY when there was an announcement about some inspection and the game disconnected, we were like WTF? BTW, the year before we played Diablo 2 three days and nights in a row with short naps between.
