The bow 'bug', as everybody calls it, where the bow doesnt seem to be properly rendered, will most likely never be fixed.

That's a screenshot from ksro (or some other better version) from last may, and after logging onto ksro, they are still the same. If they dont fix it, joymax NEVER will.

i think i saw somewhere a guide to fix that bug client side, in the pk2, if jm can't fix it, they are too incompetent.
Actually, you only needs to compare values of the skills in this new pk2, and its old values in the ecsro pk2, you'll find the difference.

You seems to know what you talking, and know about pk2, can you maybe make a guide or something to fix that bug, I think many would like to see that.

OT: I saw someone from csro sayed that they also have that bug, but they complained and joymax actually fixed it.

But joymax does design the game. So the CSRO game must have asked it at joymax and they must have fixed it. Cuz CSRO hosters buy it from Joymax..

But joymax does design the game. So the CSRO game must have asked it at joymax and they must have fixed it. Cuz CSRO hosters buy it from Joymax..

If they are competent, they could have fixed it themselves, They dont need to ask joymax for fixing bugs, if they know how to do it.

If that's true it will be fairly simple to replace the csro bow image with the isro one. If somebody can get the csro pk2 and upload it i will take a look.

there is a tutorial

1. download : http://rapidshare.com/files/217003194/Media.rar

2. you need the .pk2 tools, you can download it at your own, or here: http://rapidshare.com/files/217003718/PK2Tools.rar (normally this programm shows up as a virus, but it isn't)

3.Open the pk2 Editor

4.Press "File" and select your Media.pk2

5.At "Automatic Single Files Update" choose "Select Files"

6.Select itemoption.txt and select import

7. be happy

Credits:lifesuxx(for discovering it) and Nukleaaar for writing the tutorial
and credits to me for translating it

Like a 10D bow without the glow colored on like a 4 year old did it. All "Outside the lines" like they oh so love to do.

Are you sure you know exactly what others are seeing?
there's a topic about it .. and it took me a while to notice what was painfully obviously wrong with it.
my 4870 doesn't render it right.. pretty sure it's all in the media.pk2

This actually reminded me of something.

Three years ago when I first started Silkroad, I rememeber the 4th degree glaive had a similar bug on it, where the rings on it would show up as blocks. It's fixed now so I'm sure this bug will be fixed in a future patch...

My 285 renders it perfectly as well; as if a 3 year old coloured it in. It's not a graphics card problem or a driver related problem. The problem is very...very evident. When a shine is added it looks poorly rendered.

Removing the goldbots will be costly for them. They have nothing to lose by getting rid of the bug.

Just replace the bsr's in ur data.pk2, or edit it in one of the text files in the media.pk2. Can't remember which one
