Time for me to swat the fly.
After some thinking, i found myself willing to visit Venus to see how great it really is.
Been on it for about half a day, made myself a char.

what i've noticed (and actually expected):
- about 3-4 times as many partys than on my older servers
though most of them are 50+
- people killing bot taxis with wing tribes
- number of people pvping is quite similar other servers



now all that is missing is a guild and any possibilites of farming,
i made myself a rogue to lvl up on my own if necessary,
but if a farming possibility were to appear, i'd change the class.

this isnt supposed to be a flame topic about what is good and bad about venus,
i am just looking for someone to give me an adequate guidance about the server
since i wanna experience it rather than just hear about it.

i dont see a reason to block this topic, YET

i logged in in about 10 tries,
as for the recruitment, i havent been in town too long to search,
but they might have people posted in town to recruit (i hope)

Edit: found "Recruit" from the Overkill guild recruiting in Constantinople

xD hope to see u soon at venus. Best guild to join when ur low lv or rather best union is overkill. Most lower lvs are in there so its really easy to contact eachother for party´s etc..

Not that theres a rule at venus about this but in general rogue´s get not so much partys. Most 90+ rogues lvd there way with their subclass in partys. Ofcourse when ur determined to play a rogue you should stick with it. But you might want to reconsider it . Choose a subclass you really enjoy in partys cause u will be using that alot. I would go with tank or cleric , bard is pretty boring as a purestr.

As for the farming/lvling. Most partys indeed are 50+, also the people at 50+ tend to be better players. So u pretty much wanna 0 gap to lv 50 as fast as possible. After that I would go with a small gap ( like 3)and then at lv 90 or 94 you should make a 9 gap and lv at lv 99 mobs. Most partys are always at the cap mobs so its in general easier to find pts. Lv 90 9gap also farms pretty fastI think 5k sp an hour so its perfect .

O and u should post at igamelegit.com for a guild really. I think many venus players dont care to much bout SRF.

I haven't kept up with Venus or the confederation rules, but last I checked, that applies to not giving/getting plvl to/from bots.

This thread was not necessary since there are so many of them already explaining people's opinion about "that server"...Any information needed can be found by searching...Plus threads like these have a reputation for flame war.

There will be NO partying with bots (except for CTF and free-for-all 4/4 parties). This includes:

- No powerleveling (either giving or receiving).
- No grind parties.
- No job parties.
- No unique-hunt parties.
- No buffing or ressing bots.

As for joining a guild, I assume traffic is pretty bad right now, so just wait a couple hours and see what happens.

That "No plvling giving or receiving is under "No Partying with bots". So u can get plvl / pfarm from legits. Pm me in game, IGN = Guardia. I'll try to hook u up with a guild and in my academy.

nah, i've got time, i'll try getting into a guild tomorrow since i got dced 3 times in a row.
Talked with some guys who were about to go on a trade run, also said traffic wasnt too good at the moment.

i explained my prior opinion about the server in numerous posts and summarized them in my first post in this thread.

I wouldn't come to Venus, i've bought premium basically for nothing, there are hardly any parties anymore. It's getting really bad, theres too much traffic for the people that play legitly to get in and party.

I'm currently grinding the hell out of sungs in parties right now. You need some leveling? Hit me up. I don't discriminate against rogues/chinese/etc in my parties. You do damage? You're in

omgz you should of gone to apollo we could use more members cuz we too are facing the bots there might not be alot of parties under lvl 20 but once you get to crabs you can find a party now and then (i find it about just as hard to find a party in venus) otherwise welcome to venus even tho i dont exactly play there anymore

i got in after 10 tries today, not too bad, but just now all servers were on poulated as i dced a couple of times.
i guess some joymax employee spilled his coffee on a cable.

and parties: the older the server, the higher the lvls, so it is natural that there are not too many 1-40 pts.
But its ok

done playing for some time this week, died about 10 times in arow, lag still on >_>
and gotta study some stuff.
wouldnt mind any parties though, just have to get past lvl 20 though, kind of limited right now

@Lady: a german i met in Overkill played on apollo too, sounds true that they have many 8/8 low lvl parties going on,
but since i've already started here, i'll just stick with the server for a while^^
