Has he tried firefox or anything else other than Safari? If not, give firefox a try and see if the same thing comes up.

It requires IE or Firefox to run. Yours is Safari so it doesn't work.
Opera has a stealth feature that can mask itself as IE or Firefox. Download Opera or Firefox for Mac (if available)

An operating system sucks because it cannot view a webpage.. to an MMO website..?
OT: You have 2 options;
1) Go to Safari > Preference > Advanced > Enable "Show Develop menu in menu bar". Go to the menu bar and select Develop > User Agent > Select "Firefox 3.0.x (Windows). The website should work fine. (If you don't have the option to enable the Develop option then you probably need to upgrade to Safari 4)
2) Install Firefox and use use this User Agent Switcher add-on. It's essentially the same thing but for Firefox.

i dont understand why you would get a mac in the first place.
they really arent as good as people even make them out to be. doing my Music Tech coursework on there takes forever, brand new mac minis and yet they crash frequent.
i can only feel sorry for those who wish to game on them.
even more shockingly. FIREFOX! its quick, updated, add-ons are godly, greasemonkey. IE is really the only competitor to browsing (i hate on Windows that you HAVE to have IE on your pc, even if you uninstall it its still there.)
XMoshe - ask him if he has updated things like flash and his browser (firefox.) and his actual OS... maybe hes not thinking of the more logical problems. restart computer etc.

I'm pretty sure he did that stuff before he asked me to ask it here =p But when he's on I'll ask him about it.
And about buying a MAC, I dunno why he got it, neither do I care. It's his choice, I'm just the messenger =p

It's the silkroad website it works fine if you trick it saying you are on Windows. I have to do it on my Linux box every time I buy silk.

Any website WILL work in any browser. Joymax does browser detection like they do bot detection. Namely poorly. If you are not running a browser on windows for the most part it is not going to work not because it can't but because they will not let it. Every browser(but IE I believe) has a way to circumvent stupid browser checks.
OSX is as good as or better than Windows in basically every way. So is Linux ETC. They can't do things not because they are incapable but because people keep them from doing so. Ie stupid browser checks, closed specifications, or just deciding not to support them. Not that they can't be supported.
