There are some players who take pride in winning a lot of duels knowing full well of how they won. They use a keyboard macro-ing program that spams their number buttons for them. These players mostly have Euro chars that have skills from 3-4 different classes and all they do is switched between slots (F1,F2, F3 etc) and allow the macro to work...I think that is pathetic..and I'm gonna coin them the term "BOT duelers".... How lazy can a person a be? This game is already pretty laid back and some people still need help from keyboard macro when dueling..

You really can't use a macro for pvp'ing. It doesn't work out. Unless you're just a pure easy build like a nuker with no sword skills.

i have a Logitech G15 keyboard and set macros for imbue and skills, and i can have skills on other sets and it will use them and switch back to my main set of skills...i dont think this is cheating, i purchased the keyboard and used it the way its intended. I also use it to enter my ID and PW for SRO, just double click to open sro, once animation starts, 1 button to bring up image code. i love it

I've got the same keyboard but all I use my macros for is spamming people [through pms] and logging in. It really isn't that useful in pvp for me seeing that there isn't some string of keys that I'll use no matter the situation.

It's not hard to switch between weapons to use skills.. on my warrior/cleric i would switch between cleric rod and shield to my 2h and to my axes rather rapidly and people, that themselves used bots and macros, would accuse me of the same.

Cleric - bless, holy spell, Rec. Div.

axes - sprint assault + that bleed skill [cant remember the name, been a while haha]

2h - dare devil, turn rising, spring assault and bash

then switch between cleric for healing cycle, then axes for bleed, then 2h for dare devil.

It's people like you accusing others of cheating or "using keyboard macros" that cause harm to the game. Just because you cant do what they can with their character doesnt give you much right to go around accusing others of cheating.

ya, i say its only really useful for chinese builds, imbue was always a pain, this way it is automatically used for all my skills

I heard a macro is good to spam pills (expensive ones) I can manually spam like 5 of them

Check YouTube..you will see what I am talkin about...you will see people's skill bar lighting up like a light show...

I know those macros are nice and all but if you gonna use them to PVP then thats just lame...People who manually play can't keep up with that program...its easy to miss a beat or have gaps in your attacks but when using a macro you don't have that problem...Much respect for the people who use their own abilities...

So they spam the keys easily? It isn't hard to do. I'm just ganna take it that you aren't 90 or had a multiple weapon build.

No I am not 90...And I don't know if that happened to me while duelling..but I noticed it with the duels I've watched....Having a multi-weapon build (buffers/attackers) and still having to use a macro to switch between them says something about you..doesn't it?

You cannot prove they're using macros.
You've never used macros so you don't know how it works out. It turns out horrible fail.
Says what about me? That I know I to play multiple weapon builds? Yeah I know!

ummm sure if that is what you think.... But I do know when someone is using a macro...Nobody switches to dual axe then to one hand sword and shield then two hand sword within a second and without fail during the entire duel...

Just because you failed at using your macros in that way doesn't mean others have...Like I said go on YouTube and watch some vids. I've seen on there were even the poster of the vid admits to using his macros...

Weapon switching isn't all that hard. Just takes practice. I play a quad-weapon warrior/warlock. I can switch extremely fast between all my weapons, without a macro. Lots of times, if it's not a "serious" pvp I'll try using all the weapons, just for fun and the challenge.

I also own a G15 keyboard, tried setting up macros for weapon switches.. Fail.

Here's how mine is setup: (funky looking, yes, but it works great for me.) I use the spacebar shortcut for the crush, the rest I right click. The quickbar is positioned directly over my FX keys. Pinky on 1, pointer on 4.

EDIT: Axis quiver... biggest waste ever..its in the M spot, but I never use it.

God that build seems so useless. The broken English hurts my eyes too.

if you are talking about few warrior/clerics out there that actually know what they are doing then i have to dissapoint you they are doing it all themselves a lil "skill" is needed in this game after all.

think the only macro user i have seen that actually has control over his char/macro is la_va that n30 is just a noob indeed.

Same here man. Macroing a full warrior/lock is a pain in the ass and learning how to play the build is far easier. It's rather frustrating trying to squeeze all those skills into the limited space we have though -.-.

Problem with macros is that they just don't work for every situation. I switch so much between 1h, 2h, axes, and my lock rod, and use such a wide variety of skills that macroing them all would be near impossible anyways. That, and most macros won't do you any good if you get interupted in executing that macro through say a kd or a stun. Furthermore, on the G15, the macro keys are on the side. You'd either have to damn near fully rely on your macros or switch like mad between the G keys, function keys, and number keys.

That was sad...Seriously I can't believe some people actually do that just to win in some game.

Like yesterday, I had some guy that set his cleric bot to spam heal/bless while he was teaming me with a bard party. Woooo >.> I mean...A bot in pvp, wtf is wrong with these people.

Haha... you8 better not press that key by mistake when you're chatting in SRO ...

i also own the g15 (blue lights one)
i dont use it for pvp. i use it to buff and quick launch for skills on other bars. but it sounds like your just really jealous.. the micro dont let you hit any faster in game and you can do the same thing just by adding the right skills to the bar in the order you want and just pressing 123456789 in a row. just like a micro

and also don't call it a bot. it will end up people that use a g15 or use mircos will start to get banned.. OMG you microerrrrrrrrrrr

stop being jealous and go get yourself a nice keyboard like the g15 so you can do it to.

I used something like that for a while and that happened to me Luckily it was in Guildchat and we all know eachother so nothing happened =p Since I got a prem now I don't need it anymore hehe

last night i was hunting for a union mate, I counted literally 18 times killing this guy between me and lomion, he just kepted using res scrolled, he had a sun d9 weapon (based on the shear amount of res scrolls i'm fairly sure he bought the gold for it). Its sad he actually wasted 19 dollars on res scrolls alone just to rob a trade, they had to be the 100% cause he's an int and one nuke would easily kill him with 60% health nor did i see a pot go off every time time he ressed himself.

I can't really be too mad at the guy he didn't have invis hack, nor an unsuited cleric, though a stack of 20 ress scrolls is kinda close, i was saying the first time he killed us he's going to have to pay if he wants this trade, in the end he paid almost $20 for it. I was gonig to keep killing him till he ran out of scrolls or until i could make him spend as much money as i could but then he had like 5 friends show up in the course of time we were fighting, and i couldn't even survive long enough any more to get 2 nukes in. I guess my vengeance is good enough 20 bucks and he did pay...

Why would I (we) be jealous? Now when I kill some sun glaive or w/ ever I killed it. Not my macro...Why would you even pvp if you're not going to do it yourself? =/
