Hi, i have data based internet connection, like per month i got 5GB to use for download and surfing(it's not unlimited)....so my question is how much MB or KB u waste playing silkroad for 2 hours?

dont worry its more than enough im usually logged in sro just sitting down so i dont have to relog and the usage is not much
you just have to cut down on downloading heh

if you are still worried i suggest you download a program to track your usage

Don't worry. Playing 4-5 hours a day, you wont even break 100mb in a month with SRO.

The game's trafic is around 700-2000 bytes per second (0.7-2 KB/s) in very crowded areas like hotan, and around 150-450 bytes per second (0.15-0.45KB/s) mostly at ot other places. That's good news for me... I quit playing a few weeks ago, because I lost the wireless connection of a random unsecured router in the appartment block, therefore had to use my own internet, and I have a max download of 20GB per month, with a 7Mbps Connection to the internet. It costs me 8.99$ for 1 GB over .... if i get the bill at the end of the month, ill send it to all of you and pay for me! i trust you guys saying its not a lot of download...

The Maximum distance for ethernet is 100 meters, so you are going to need a few thousand waterproof switches too.

thats actually true(not the cell phone part tho), i have broadband 256kbps unlimited dlding and i do 5 gb per month MINIMUM if i had 2 mbps i cant even imagine how much more my usage would be.

well i live in a small city (puri) here is only 2 or 3 internet providers so i had to choose one of these providers.if i had lived in mumbai or delhi i would have like 2 mbps unlimited internet connection with price of $5 a month.
and i have already mention above that its free night browsing 10 to 7 so whenever i wanna download songs or files i download on that time(everyday 1hour of browsing enough for me)
and the funniest part is if u don't use ur 5gb and browse the web and download ur stufs only at night u only have to pay $1 a month.
its a good deal for me isn't it?

i live in noida(pretty close to delhi) there r no unlimited plans for 2mbps speed in any part of ncr or delhi so ur not missing much

that's high speed cable. there is a fiber line right outside.. it is the fastest you can get to a home in east canada

Good for you, but he is talking about the limitations of his connection. Not everyone in the world lives with the same standards that you do.

Dude,have u heard abt BSNL's wireless card that gives u 512kbps unlimeted download and charge only $10 per month.that service been there for more than 4 months.
and BTW that service i have mention above(2mbps unlimeted download) is being given by a new internet provider its only been a month (its like a beta testing)not lots of people know abt that provider cuz they have never advertise or did sort of things and they will end it soon.(may be in more 2 month)
my friends who lives in Delhi happen to be the lucky guy to get that connection.

lol i know about bsnl's 512 connection, i hve their 256k connection its half speed+alot cheaper(Rs6000 diff isnt small), btw i pay Rs7500+tax/yr currently so its a really good deal for unlimited download.

2mbps unlimited in TESTING chances r that by the time it comes out it will either be ridiculously overpriced or will have a download limit...anyways I'm gonna check it out now that i know about it

do you know how many times you'd have to boost the connection?

10,000*5280/100=528,000 times

It also depends on how much time you stall. In town you uses maybe 10x more traffic than in grinding area. So if it's the case, stall in the area where less players are around and avoid to hear the bot spammers.

as i read = 31 days 24/7 in sro = 2gig traffic

duno if that is the max but it depends where u are, if u are stalling in town, u prolly have more traffic
