CTF Higher Mobs?

This might be old news, but since I have just recently started playing again...
Anyone ever experience getting into a CTF where the mobs are the next "level" and are WAAYYYY too hard? I am still used to slaughtering puppies (Muahahahaha!!!!) but tonight, I got thrown in with some level 45 birds. Our highest level in the entire CTF was 30, so as you can imagine, we got utterly raped.
Why did this happen? Was it because the server was at it's low hour?

Well, if you got a warrior, a cleric & a wiz its easy

Well we found a little system to beat them. A bard casts speed, one or two players run around trailing all the mobs behind them and the rest of the group focusses on one single target to kill. It works well as long as the "trailers" stay away from the killer group.
When you will be higher level a cleric is enough to keep the party alive.

If I remember well it's wolves, birds, penguins, kangaroos, genies. A new mob appears when you are around 15 levels lower than it's level.

Hmm, dunno if iSRO got the 'buff room' where you can buff before you enter the battle.
If you got it, just lure all the mobs to the door & let the wizzies stay in the buff room ;p

As Taelys said, there are certain lvls at which you should be put into the higher lvl range.
20-30 wolves (lvl 30?)
30-45 birds (45)
45-60 penguins (60)
60-75 kangaroos (75)
75-90 genies (90)
However this system usually doesnt work as it should, so there is a probability that you'll be fighting much lower or higher lvl mobs.

The kind of mobs you get in ctf depends on the amount of people registered for ctf round your level range i think. I have gotten penguins at lvl 45, and gotten wolves at 32. Sometimes i got birds at 48

The inner room was there during the summer(i think?) event, but it was taken out of isro then =(

It has something to do with the average of the party level, and that level depends of the players that submit for ctf I think.
To answer another question, there is no buff room in isro. Normally players run into the corridor right after popping up in CTF and a party is formed. If you are fast enough you are mob free if no one is attacking a mob.
It's a fact than when you start on crows it's extremely difficult to kill one excepted if you apply my little trick above. The higher the party level the better the clerics are and when you start on genies around level 70 (they are level 85), you don't have too many trouble to kill them.

It's never happened to any CTF match with levels 80 and up. But 50- matches get it a lot.
I like keeping the mobs alive. The genies at 80+ are huge and they are a godsend when you can get some to aggro and follow you around. While acting as a cleric, those genies saved my life many times whenever nukers and wizards tried selecting me but got the genies instead. It's like having meatshields to take the damage

Yeah, I like the exp and all, but I love being able to PVP a bunch of people as well. However, those crows made it so hard, and the idiot that ran outside and lured like 5 of them into the back corridor didn't help, plus the fact that every time a cleric is in the CTF game with me, he/she decides to try and DPS?
This poor caster on the other team yesterday was slaughtering people, so obviously, I targeted her. Shield Trash, kill.
After about the 8th kill, I get a PM:
"..... u mother why u atk me first???"
LOL - I Love PVP...

I got the other way around...I'm the highest lvl in my party so I'm the toughest to kill. But they still go for me first. I mean, take out the easy targets (lower lvl int's etc) and then come for me lol. I hardly attack anyway. Only when they're coming for me or I see another high lvl (around my lvl) enter the room =p

thats exactly what i was thinking. Everybody seems to assume this is a bug, but what if Joymax designed it this way? It makes the party need to work together, and adds to the challenge.

It happened to often that we spawned with only chinese lvl 42-45 or something on lvl 60 mobs. They may have designed it like this, but the chance at that lvl to have a cleric/warrior/wiz is low, very low.
