IMO this farking email thing is just a scam of Joymax. They realised that people are complaining noone cares their opinions so now they are pretending as they care!

Would this suggestion work though? What about Internet Cafes in places like Egypt and Turkey that host Silkroad. Surely they have more than 5-10 Computers? It would massively limit the number of bots though.

I don't really care about internet cafes, unless the players have PT then they will have to wait or try another game.

WIN (For players able to log in) WIN (For joymax more real players = more chance to sell silk)

So 2 possible answers:
1º Joymax have the same employeer in a little room, with 1 CocaCola and 2 Pizza's, "reading" the emails and response the same to all.
2º Joymax have a mailbot for response the questions, example:
Code: Select all
$title = GetTitle
$happyface = ^__^
if msgbox = 1 then
send("Hello. this is Silkroad Online.
Dear Valued Customer,
Greetings from Joymax Customer Support Team!
We received your email regarding the $title.
If you have any suggestions about the $title please do not hesitate to tell us were open for new ideas and rest assured that we will be forwarding it to the game administrator for further studies. Thank you for your continuous support have a great day! $happyface
Thank you for emailing Joymax Customer Support. $happyface

I started playing SRO in a PC club with my friends. The club has diff IP for each PC. Where is the problem?

Unless that place has different ISP or atleast separate connection for every computer, then yes they have.
If they connect through a router they just have different LOCAL IP's. Silkroad only recognizes the global IP... It doesn't care whether the local IP is different or not.

Well we had like 40 PC's and there were times we were playing on ALL of them. Idk how that was happending, but it was. And if i remember correctly back then the limit per IP was lower?

The game is designed get to harder to level and take longer over time, after investing so much time some would use the item mail to help with this. As a new player if you found it hard to log on and don't know what the game has to offer or what it is about due to limited players able to help in jangan etc.
Its been discussed in many topic's, simply comes down to maths.
More real players = more chance to sell silk:
If 10% of a server community uses silk @ present that = 90% that don't and you forget a PT offers more that just log in. Seed/fruit quests, 5/10% bouns 3/5 hours 100 exp/sxp. What happens when a player gets to the cap, will they still spend the normal amount on silk every 4 weeks ? The item mall sells more that just PT's. New players = larger customer base = more chance to sell silk over the long term as they progress in game. Its marketing and economics.

"Back in the day" the limit was...
umm...
I don't remember any limit until 80 cap came out, and then it was 30.
But it could have existed and I just may not have heard of it.

looks automated. Adding the subject in one spot then all the same. Nothing will change from their "customer service".

Well, you're forgetting that a lot of gold bots have premium themselves; you're also forgetting most of the server is composed of bots and almost all bot players have some sort of premium.
New players...probably won't get premium since they're not high level enough to enjoy the game. So, in the end...I don't know >.> Seems like...server traffic = good (for JM)
*edit* btw, I don't like traffic...I'm writting this AS I play the log in pre-game...
edit2* god damn it...logged into the wrong account

Here's my request. It seems they actually do have people on hand to do support, judging from OP's delayed reply (he sent his request at 6:35am KST) and the difference between our responses. Must be just the one guy who does the ^_^v thing. Also, they parsed out my semicolon so it looks like I wrote a run-on sentence.

*Oo This is a silk buyer, dont let messege go to replay machine*
then he just answerd u by things that they wont ever make.

Don't matter what their answer is, I'm pretty sure it's in some way automated, and I doubt they care even a little bit. If they did care about anything any costumer would say, they'd at least do something about bots.

Farking idiots. That's why this games dying. People think every tiny thing they do is nothing, it's an improvement, shut the **** up before they change their mind and go back to 0 bot bans, 0 activity, 0 updates, 0 responses.
