I found this article, its in Swedish but you can translate it to english via Google.
In short - Its about a Danish EVE Online player who bougt gold (its not gold, but EVE Online currency) in EVE Online for about 100 000 DK crowns (about $18 750). And he got ripped off by the Goldcompany

He contacted VISA, but they refused to give him back the money, but since he used Paypal he should be able to chargeback through Paypal.

Eh. I remember awhile back someone had a date coming over to his home, and he was trying to set up the lava lamp but forgot about it till the last minute, and tried to heat it up quicker on the stove. It Boiled, glass exploded, he died. Obviously it's not nearly the same scale, but a mistake like that should not cost him his life.
Personally, I do not believe gold buyers should be scammed out of 1,500usd because they buy gold. They can learn their lesson without having that bad penalty. I think most gold buyers would stop if they got scammed even like 5 dollars.

That story has absolutely no relevance. He was not cheating in any way and only wanted to impress someone. His downfall was his stupidity, but it still is not relevant to the subject of goldbuying.
The goldbuyer decided to cheat he should of thought of the consequences and risks. His fault entirely and he deserves it 100%.
