hmm today on rome there were 3513/3500
you tell me that 3513 are legit? haaah
not even 1500 players are legit on rome
at ishade there are 2 bots following 1 mob, at mujiji it's full, at penon it's "omg, free donuts, let's grab"
today when I went to TG there were even bots at tigers lol, 1 lvl 40+ growing tiny noobs, all with ajsdfel names

eh, if you buy silk you will not get banned, even it in the official announcement ,, players using illegal programs will be banned "
how can you imagine joymax banning bots who buy premium and ability pet? 250 silk/mounth/player?
get used to it, more then 15min to login
after the last big update, the first week when all servers where populated I really liked the game, it was so nice, nice plvl, no lag

new bot has just came out.. that has replaced softmod.. i guess its gonna be impossible to log into the servers now...

I think JM just has a hard time detecting them. They can easily fix the problem, but they won't.

If I was working in Joymax, I could find every bot out there in less then 48 hours.

What would you do you say? I would just change the HP potions codes in Hotan with a minor differnce. When people click them and put them in their inv. click Buy, it would be the same thing. But for the bots that inject the code, you could find the ones turning in the old code. It's not that they don't know how to detect, it's that they know they buy Silk ^^

Sure, it's easy for us to tell who's botting, but the GMs don't log into the game and watch to see who is botting or not. JM has their own, flawed method of determining who is or isn't botting which really isn't accurate at all. If they had active GMs in the game, of course it would be see goldbots but player bots is a different story. And not all bot programs use inject codes because JM can easily detect that. This is why they can't detect every single bot. Most bot programmers try to make their program as undetectable as possible. JM needs to step it up and turn on their GameGuard or something. It probably wouldn't eliminate bots completely, but it would help.

Joymax has been banning chat spammers to fill their banned list I don't think they even care if someone bots anymore

Most of the people I've talked to have been banned for multiclient. i.e. plvling their other char with their main char on the same PC. Other than that, it's rare to see someone who bots and buys silk get banned. That's just from what I've seen/heard.

i don't work at joymax but i can say with 100% certanty it is one or both of two things. greed/corruption or incompetence. take your pick mix and match the answers you like. either way you are screwed. enjoy

there are too many things to say about bot users weather goldbotting or player botting, nothing any of us can do will make any difference what so ever! all one can do is try to enjoy the game and spawn some light bow npc thiefs/hunters to splash kill the bots in your area

I think a better topic/conversation/thread would be like.

"why does joymax (or whoever for that matter) let gold bots run in/the game?"
(because they obviously are letting these companies make money off their own game/creation)

Joymax should just make a new server or two with "premium" service lol or something, which includes extra security(GMs maybe? At least much better bot bannings), then they could keep milking the retard botters like they are, but let the legits be happy too and get money from them also, and wouldn't need to have an excuse for letting others bot on other servers anymore.

basically put $$$ behind a wall at the sonars and after humping the wall a few times they use a return scroll

Bots get updated as well. If they see that JM has changes the codes they update their bots too, so that won't work

3500 for every server. 35 servers.

3500* 35 = 122500 Players. LMFAO. All servers are almost crowded 24/7 so thats 122,500 players active in Silkroad Online.

Now, if in every server theres 3000 gold bots, multi clients, spam bots, that's 3000*35= 100,500 players xD

20,000 players left. if 19500 of these are player bots, that leaves 500 legit actives xD

Now the real question is, is there 500 legit players in SRO xD xD

i got from 32 to 64 in 1 month with a 3gap....

76 in 2months with a 3gap.... it aint that hard. legits lvl faster then bots if they put the time in

Really? So just how do you manage to play more than 24h/day? It bas been proven time and time again that bots level much faster - humans need to rest, programs don't.

What is amazing is that this game is still alive even after more than two years of severe bot infestation.

A good euro party can easy get in about 4 to 5 hours the same exp a bot get in 24 hours, the real problem is having a group of people ready each day to do it.

No GNGWC right now so no reason for Joymax to save their own ass in front of the public.

Apparently, that can be a real big problem. If you cant spare 5h/day (for 2-3 months (lvl 80) or 6-12 months (lvl 100+) and another 2 years for farming at that level), then the bot wins, in the end.

why does player win over bots? because players have a brain. i onetime followed a bot out from hotan, up through roc mountain and the bot was on his horse with 15 mobs following him, he got off the horse, and died. then went to town and proceeded to do this multiple times. my guess is that he has lost about 20% by the time the person came back to check up on his bot. players would not be so dumb as to do that. but bots will lose you exp all day long and not stop if you set it in the wrong spot, or if you walk by in an auto share and spawn party mobs near it.

Everybody knows if Joymax would want to ban the bots they would do it. There are thousands of ways to do that but Joymax don't want to. Look there is no other mmorpg that has more botters than silkroad. Silkroad is the only mmorpg with this massive bot problem. And you really think that Joymax has this massive bot problem because they are the only company in the world that doesn't know how to ban them? Lol! It's really foolish to think that Joymax don't know how to ban bots face it they just don't want to! I really don't know why they let all the goldbots on the servers but there must be reason for it.

bots are not that stupid, plus there i always a person behind them.
if someone babysits the bots, he might find an optimal grinding place rather than let them die like you mentioned.

and seen on the long run: 20% isnt much for the botter since he doesnt spend his time earning them by grinding himself.

i think JM own all this fuckin gold botters....cuz every spot in all SRO world have a botter every kind of mobs there are botters.
Also there're many ppl buy gold, so selling gold make JM earn alot of money.
this problem will stop only if all ppl Stop playing SRO till JM ban all botters.
players who r botting not the problem,most online games have botting
but not gold bot. Also Csro have legal bot only if for lvl 70 +
JM make servers capasities higher not for us but for let many gold botters, which mean more Gold selling.
also they need servers Full all the day to let ppl buy premium.
its a plan JM depend on it in all its games.
look at Ksro and Csro....Ksro the same Isro in the gold botters problem cuz JM owen it, but Csro servers are easy most time of the day cuz JM dont owen it.
its a policy of JM to Get Money
