ok so i recently bought some silk on my friends account...and now he wants to chargeback the acc because he doesnt use the char and wants to put immo and astral on his stuff...so i was wondering...when he charges back if he does...will the 50$ i spent on silk on that char go back to the card i used to purchase it? And will that card still be able to buy silk?

I think if someone does a chargeback now, you won't get any of your money back. I remember reading that somewhere. I couldn't find it again, so maybe someone else can.

youll get the money back but joymax will ban the accounts linked to the credit card and you wont be able to purchase silk again using that same cc.

so if he charges back it will ban my account? since i have used that card to purchase silk on my account?

idk try it lol. i wouldnt chargeback at the risk of forever losing your lvl 90 char.

All accounts where you used that card on are normally banned.

so you want to "CCF"? buying, lets say the max limit of silk allow for a month (3k I think) you use it to buy astral/immortals to make +7 weapons ect...once all the silk is gone and you made a few +7 just charge back and get all the money back

idk but i just dont want my account banned...cause i bought silk on the char he wants to chargeback..... so you guys know for sure? if he charges back then i get banned?

Any account linked to the paypal will get banned, and what you are proposing is pure ccf. This "friend" of yours is really stupid, and is trying to involve you in illegal shit. Have fun with this mess.

well i dont have a paypal account..i just pay through paypal without having an account but...yea i dont think hes doing it on the char i bought silk on...

charge back and CCF(credit card fraud) are totally different.
Charge back=you are using your own money/own credit card(or what ever your using to pay with) to buy silk. This will link back to ur IP, even if you charge back, its not against the law, nothing will happen to you in real life.. only your silkroad online account will get banned and u wont be able to use the same credit card to buy silk any more.

CCF(credit card fraud)=Using somebody else's credit card. If you get caught then you will be put in prison for i dunno how many years. how do SRO players CCF? they use some kind of server/IP hider (im not to sure) so they can not be traced by IP.

purchasing silk with your own card, using it, and charging back is still fraud.

Actually if the silk was used on the character that it was purchased for and then he wants to charge the money back, it is fraud. He is already against Joymax's TOS by purchasing silk for another player. CCF and charge backs are both fraud, just different types.

Buying silk for someone else isnt against the tos, its just ill advised for these specific types of situations.

its not exactly credit card fraud but his "friend" intention are....using the credit card to buy silk...using it for astrals/immortals and wants chargeback for the silk purchased with a CC that is not even his....can't really get it trouble for it, besides acc. banned though

Fraud is fraud, whether it's your own card or someone else's. Can I buy a bunch of food from a grocery store, eat it all, and then get my money refunded? No.
