Today is a really f'd up day. I worked out a deal with SonofGods on Alexander server to purchase his seal of sun 2 hand sword.

It took about an hour to arrange the deal; but we came to a reasonable agreement.

I would give him my sun 64 sword and sun 64 shield then he would stall the sun 2 hand for 970m and I would buy it.

Well, mind you we talked for several hours before going through with the deal. He told me about himself and I told him about myself. He sounded like a really down to earth guy. He said he was 28 years old and lived in the UAE. We both have been playing for many years and we agreed that scamming is just something neither of us could ever do to someone, stranger or friend.

Well I decided to go against the better of my judgment, and I decided to trust him. I handed him my suns and then, he opened his stall, I went inside, then poof. Window closed, his character logs off. I tried to keep my hopes up that maybe he really did just get d/c'd and there is server traffic, but I knew I was just deluding myself. I waited for about an hour just to be sure.

Well I guess thats goodbye to my favorite two items I ever had. Not a tremendous value loss but definitely a large sentimental one. My faith in the silkroad community and the game itself is dead now. I don't feel like wasting my time anymore with this game.

So this is goodbye, at least for now. Thanks for the great discussion postings SRF. Thanks for everyone that supported my build.

Bad to hear that...I really hate that way of scamming and that happened many times on Babel as well. We should really use the new "Premium E-Mail Service" to report something like this so they will increase the stall prices so we can stall things more than 1 billion. I mean, where is the problem, that's easy going for them. We just need to try it...

You got yourself to blame, never ever give your items first. And what's wrong with using exchange? If you think that he can get your id / pw through exchange then i got news for you buddy, it's a myth. Well im sorry that you lost the items, a lesson learned the hard way.

Well, sorry for your loss but it's your fault really. You can't trust anyone ingame, that's a known fack. Why would anyone even consider giving his items first, WHY? I wouldn't give them to someone who I know for years ingame, let alone to someone I have spoken for only a few hours. As the persone above said, it's a lesson learned the hard way

Sorry to hear that That's one of the reasons i would never buy a sun weapon, and even if i get i would sell it. Too many eyes on the suns

Because he had to give 970 mil more for the sun, and in exchange you can give only 100 mil.

I don't know how those people who scam item that meant so much to someone live with them self. I would never do such a thing. Maybe people just think its just a game, its just an item, but the time and effort to get it is just tremendously ridiculous and just poof gone. Money I can understand, people you are from some poor place, you do it to survive. Ok, its wrong but i guess it justifies the mean some how. But in a game, its pure entertainment. Lost faith in humanity more like it.

Many say "Just a game". But the game is played by human beings and even if it's just a game, the way you act in it can show a lot of how u r IRL. So.... same as real life... many people with many diff points of view, some good, some bad, some lie, some help you. Some play the game just for the "joy" of screwing someone... and i am pretty sure they do the same irl with they real "friends" so...

That sux. But you should know its scamm cuz that was to dam cheap. And you should use middle man, yes this is your fault but more than that its fault of stupid Joymax for not doing anything about trading items more than 1bil.
All those who will say now "no items should be worth more than 1bil" just shut the hell up, they are worth more than 1bil economy is screwed deal with it.

8D sun weps are sold for like 700mil on Xian >.> So it would be way over 1bil with a shield extra.

Maybe it's that they're just kids (which isn't much of an excuse), maybe it's that noone taught them morals or to be better people.. but there's only a small % of turks / arab people I've personally met in SRO that are trustworthy. Therefore I'd have to agree with him.

I was once scammed out of my SOM farming bow. I was actually kinda depressed cause I put a lot of time into earning my gold. (this was back with pfarming had JUST became popular. So I gave up and got pfarmed. I even offered to buy it back and a reasonable price, no response. It sucked.
