I tried to to change some of ksro files to isro but when i reach the game i get ??? error...

when i instaled the ksro i tried to login in it but the game before reach the login gives me ??? and exit... could that be why i cant send the ksro files into isro?

Maybe i need to patch the files before change them or something...

if there is anyone that know what i need to do first, tell me please..

I installed ksro, updated it, then launch; movie crashed with ??? error
I was able to use ksro files for pk2 editting

9d shows as 10d in the world.
9d weapon icons show as 10d, except chinese sword, 1h & both shields :s
10d clothes icons just give me red box "No Image" T_T

If you get a ??? error, you obviously have done something wrong. Reinstall sro, and dont mess with the PK2 if you dont know what you're doing 100%.

Oh, and this should be in Questions and Answers.

you've to put korean as Unicode languag, if not you will get ???? error always.

i know what im doing lol but i just installed it and dont touched it... but i got the ??? error anyway... about the pk2 i just change the garm d10 files from ksro with my d7/d8 armor isro files

Ps: yeah i changed the 10 names to 07/08

Do you mean you just added the ksro Media.pk2 to the isro folder? If you did, thats why you get the ??? error.

no, i installed the ksro in my computer to get the data, media and particles.pk2 from ksro (i copied them to another folder), but before uninstall it i tried to login to see how the ksro is because i never played ksro... then i get the ??? error, later i uninstall it to install isro again.. after that i extracted the Garm d10 files from the ksro data.pk2 and replaced them with my isro armor d7/d8 files but when i login in my char i got ??? error..

and what i ask was if the problem is in the files that need a patch or something else.. or isro files cant just be replaced with ksro files?

maybe the files dont work because they have a bug or something... because when i tried to login ksro i couldnt because i always got ??? error

Here is the quickest way to change x degree to 10d.

download ksro, install, copy media, particles,data pk2 to other folder
Install isro
copy particles & data pk2 from KSRO in to isro folder
now open the isro media file with a hex editor (I used XVI32 -> http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm
press Ctrl+R (Replace); Text String + V as Unicode Latin(UTF-16LE); scope from "Begin"; Case sensitive OFF
Find the 9degree (my example)& replace with 10degree
Now the commands:
find <-> replace
\clothes_09 <-> \clothes_10
\heavy_09 <-> \heavy_10
\light_09 <-> \light_10

It's because you need to extract the icon files ( .ddj ) of the 10 degree weapons from ksro files .. rename them to 9degree ones .. and import into our pk2 files.

normally i do all the pk2 manually because im better doing manually than using the hexeditors.. thats what i do.. but manually but when i get ingame i get error..

that you explained me is the same thing than open pk2 extractor and extract itemdata txt files and replace per ex. item...\sword_09.bsr to sword_10.bsr line..

btw i dont want the whole ksro pk2 i just want the d10 files

ps: i have other edits in my current isro pk2... and they work

one more thing i dont want the ddj files changed too because i will get confuse when i get into a stall xD

but thanks anyway... i guess im missing a patch in ksro files first

does ksro need a patch before play?

Start > Control Panel > Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options > Regional and Language Options

Go to Advanced tab. Under Language for non-Unicode programs, choose Korean. Yes. Yes. Restart.

That's for Windows XP. Don't know for Vista.

Freakin noobs want teh eezy wei out. Don't know what you're getting into, and you shouldn't benefit from it. Start by making it look like you wear full d9. See how it works. Then work to more advanced things.

ok i could do that but im not a noob so now its working my d10 hehehe... its really needed to replace the isro data.pk2 with the ksro data.pk2 to everyone who dont know too ^^
