Weapons in hand doesn't drop. From inventory it does.

Shield drops.
Item mall things won't drop.
Quest things won't drop.

i lost my chest once. and a GDF (or blackdvl suit) too..

Weird how i had a char with 200k murder with a gdf equipted and a wep equipted and niether dropped, but all my pots and things did.

So AFAIK, the answer is No, and will be until im proved wrong.

Only in murderer status does a weapon in hand not drop, but i've lured on someone before and got their blade they had equipped.

DJ, you sure he did not just have a spare blade in his inventory because I always thought you cannot drop equipped items when dieing to mobs(not murder status).

I mean what about making bot traps, I have made tons of those and the bots NEVER drop equipped items.... NEVER

But sacch murdered some wiz in takla a while ago too and got their staff.

Dropping stuff while not in murderer isn't all that usual though no matter what it is.

While my nub was being plvl'd in caves my equipped sword dropped when I died .. so ye.

But then why do they never ever drop items in a bot trap... and that is making them die at such a large rate..

Maybe because it is death which is considered in job?

In that case we should all train while in job suit lol

Yea but, it's such a small amount to even drop anything, and dropping an equipped item probably has less chance then something in inventory, and then weapon probably has even less chance then other eq.

But even if not, bots inventories are most likely full of pots, so you got a full inv and eq, so the chances of dropping something + the chances of that something being eq or weapon is probably pretty small ;d.

Try making a noob, take off everything but a weapon and go die over and over if ya really wanna be sure ;d.

Thats correct.

However, SoX weapons doesn't drop. Doesn't matter if you're in offender status or not.
Tested with my nub with 10+ SoS in inventory.

I dropped a flag that was in my inventory after being killed by a monster, it wasn't equipped tho. Same for a cleric rod, I'm wizzard/cleric and I dropped a cleric rod that was in my inventory after being killed by a monster.

From my own observations....

1. You can drop your GDF when you die from a mob, in hunter/theif, or murderer
2. You can drop your weapon (equipped) in murderer status only
3. You can drop anything in your inventory (pills, potions, etc.) if you die (murderer, combat, or job uniform
3a. Anything from the item mall cannot be dropped (even the potions cannot be dropped).
3b. You can't drop pets (this is the one thing I've never seen happen..but might).

So, short answer...yes you can. You can also drop the 1M thief suit. =/

I could be wrong about this...but I'm pretty sure that it's a 20% chance of dropping anything (from inventory OR equipped). It's usually that people who die and drop things have so much more of their items represented by potions,etc. than the 6 pieces of armor + maybe a shield. =/

Weapons in hand do drops. 100% sure coz i have see it.

You have a bugger chance to drop if you die by a hight lv monster/thief/hunter(npc).
exemple you're lv 15 you die by lv 90 thief npc light.

yup you can drop your GDF and no you cant drop a equipped weapon but you can drop a equipped shield.

I posted this list before;

Die from mob = Drop EVERYTHING.

Die from pk = Drop ANYTHING except for equipped weapon and SoX, including job items / gdf etc. ( Same for being pk'd no status and being pk'd with murder status )

Die from guildwar / fort / etc = Drop inventory items only. ( Pots / horses / scrols ) Possibility of items dropping all tho in 2+ years time have only seen pots / horses drop.

During my numerous daily dlvlin for 2 mths, everything in my inventory is gone except all SoX Equipped and in my inventory.
N they are still there when my 2m sp is done.

I'm not even sure about silk stuff. I started like all of you without silk, don't know how it happened but my grab pet got globals. I never bought nor used them before so they weren't dropped from my inventory. It was on a trade after killing a thief.

OMG guys pls don't be noob YOU CANNOT DROP THE EQUIPPED GDF OR WEAPON IN HAND. PERIOD. How i know? I get powerlved at ong, and I need to deleveled. My Char has GDF and Weapon, I killed myself a million time. OK? Not only Mobs, I go murder too and get killed by people too. But if you put stuff in yr inventory, YES it will drop (sox or not, it WILL DROP)

And yea i get powerleveled at ong, sue me.

PS Silk stuff never drop!

die from mob... u cant drop quest scrolls/items, item mall items, items that u are wearing.

die from pk.. cant drop quest scrolls/items, item mall items.

die in the fortress war... well.. iv been to most and iv never dropped any thing!
