ok whats your OPINION (its slow here so lets throw a log on the fire)

Why do so many persons here flame?

heres my opinion:
i think that they do because they feel bad that they have no positive input to add themselves, so they are trying to make everyone else who posts seem like them by calling them useless, noob, or bot, or anything else they can get away with.

of course they will not admit to it, and not all that flame will be this way, some will just not like you as a person, or what you say.

another reason that some will flame is because they are dead sure they are right (no matter what kind of proof or reason you show them) and so of course you are wrong and need to be corrected by severe means (flaming, the only thing they can do here)

like i said these are my opinions, what is yours?
(This is to make a discussion, and yes may not be useful to you, but may prove educational to you or others)

They flame because it makes them feel hard, case and point;
But in truth, I dont know, its nicer taking a stroll through /b/ then its through General Discussion lol.

1. Cus some are bots and think by doing so they can hide themselves from the truth

Just don't post if you don't know, no one knows that you don't know that way. So I don't think that's the reason...

I guess they just like to act 'cool' on a forum, wish they could do it somewhere else

2 reasons i think...

The first is what somebody has i their sig. The majority of silkroad players are young, like below 18. And what do you get if you put thousands of children in one place, with little control over what they say?

Second is people flame over the internet, because if they acted like it in real life, they'd probably get a broken nose.

botter vs fake legits vs legits

triangular conflict


because ppl have no commonalitys with each other, some ppl flat out show that they bot, some ppl babysit and hide the fact that they bot, and the very few legits that cant stand either of them


if the forum changed its tolerance on botters (allowed botting) im sure ppl would fit more nicely here
which is why, on softmod forums (yes the one where u can view even if u are not a member), ppl are always nicer

SRO is a flamer's game. In game, flaming others after you defeat them or after they die (calling them noob, idiot, etc.) is commonality. That mindset is then, in turn, brought to this forum because it is also attaining to SRO.

i never get bitter if i get owned by someone in pvp,
unless some glavier got 3 crit in a row, in which case ill only say ur lucky.. or something like that

Because we live in a world of opression. Rasicm, sexism, childhood bullying.. god the list never ends. We, being nerds, suffer the grunt of it. Since we have been faced with such oppression and never been able to, or chose not to, fight back we are tormented on the inside. When a medium which involves no direct facing of ones opponent is invented it gives rise to these people the chance to fight back and express their rage.
