So I decided to go on a trade run with my lvl 30 on Ares. Well I'm making my way through Jangan and I run into a wizard also doing a trade run and I ask him to party with me. It starts off well but then we get a double spawn; I lured all the aggro on me and he RUNS AWAY! I almost died but I abandoned my horse and killed off all the thieves. The Wizard thanked me and I decided, oh well I'll help him get to DW and I not sure but maybe make some trader exp off it. (Do traders in the PT also get exp when other traders exchange goods?) Anyways I'll never know because he purposely left the party when he turned in the goods. I asked him for some gold and he ignored me!

Thats the last time I will help a stranger in game. He made me very angry.

it's not like he's losing money or anything...

thieves only do it for exp. selling goods as thief sucks for money.

Yes, in my party always same guy pick loot he scroll wait for not a single time anyone asked for gold, all just want thief exp.

answer is that traders get no money from other traders.

That is why I only ever job with guild members who I trust.

damn....i really dont get why they do that. i get that alot. Now i only help other guild members and union members.
Way to screw it up from everyone.

Same shit happen to me though I was the thief. I spotted a big trade, all level 90s, I global and tell all thieves to come (maybe thats cheap but i stand no chance lol) anyway bunch of thieves came, I help them almost 2 hours died like 20 time. When they got the loot, kick me out of the party. Sell the loot and stand in front of me laughing.

Same story on Troy. Hell, at times, when I don't feel like going to thief town for a simple 400k or so shared amongst 5 thieves or didn't even aid in the robbing, it takes me a good 5 minutes just to communicate that they [non english speaking thieves] should just sell the damn goods without me.

Uhm..You aint getting money anyways, you get thief exp if you're not the one selling.

Yeah, but since xp is directly related to the amount of gold in goods you're selling, the value of the loot is a pretty good indication of the amount of xp you'll be getting. [If I cared about the gold I'd never be thieving in the first place. I was under the impression though that we were getting gold, although minute, from other thieves in the pt selling gold as well. Never really payed attention to my gold stockpile though.]

so, if i invite 8 hunters to my party, do i sstill get same gold as if i had 0 hunters?

1# You dont get exp from another trader , if your a trader also, You need to be hunter to get that exp

Maybe he was just confused as to what you were saying/asking because traders don't gain any more exp/gold from other traders.

That is unfortunate

you get gold if you are getting exp as a thief. and not selling.

change job to thief and problem would be solve, thief is nice you make profit out of trader and you get to wear a cool looking suit .

thiefs sux always hiding on a black dress... u cant even tell whats their lvl be4 they attack u ¬¬ just go hunter

i only run when my hp is low and i am at pot cool down otherwise i help if somone is helping me
