so who got hacked this days
too many ppl now asking for help that they got hacked
that made me ask,
is that the new way to scam some gold or are they realy got their items stolen
because they are using too many bot programs
so any legit player got hacked ?

my 2 friend got hacked twice (at least 4 acc hacked) one hacked twice in few days. What's funny he is farming at ongs and SP stayed. Only gold and items gone. after oeweek we know what hapenned. It was some trojan. First antyvirus that find it was NOD32. Trojan stayed on PC even after whole HDD format. Trust me or no, they were clean.

BTW most of You say legit=no hack only bot useres got hacked. if that was true noone would pay for bot becouse in case of hacks noone would pay for something he can lose...

Well, in my opinion, i would think they can alway make a new one. Plus, im thinking botting is a very bad habit to break.

I believe people that bot dont really care about the game.

Yeah so clean the trojan was on.... just a typical nodc Sp farmer. Ban u all lazy ..... bastards. Or get ovvertaken. U arent got hacked. U just got keylogged cause of own stupidity. Thats all u deserve.

No discussion "it was clean" blabla... its wasnt and it was a 3rdparty prog.

BTW: Trojon stayed on pc after format haha its like mum got farked after she died and burried.

We talked for almost a month ingame.. She asked me if I got an ICQ.. So I gave my number, we talked, she sent me her photo.. And I didnt think about key loggers or etc shit, since I was pretty noobie with comp. that time.. So I got hacked.. I lost 300+ mil.. One of the best and few 72+7 glavies on Babel that time, and a full +5 garm set...

I wouldn't use the term hacking for that. Also legits do get hacked not just bot users.

Some of you should learn the difference between hacking, script kiddies.

It's pretty tough to get hacked in silkroad, unless you really piss someone with some serious computer know how off, or you're just that one unlucky ****.

Any script kiddie can send a key logger -.-

anyone forgetting that huge list of ppl's username? I still wonder how they got that.... My old main was on there.

The first time I wasn't really "hacked" nothing was taken or anything, I was logged off using a friends GT, then I see my char log in and it turned out to be some hacker friend, I never gave him my info, and I never dled and used anything, he just got into my acc lol, anyway he logged on and told me that someone else was trying to log into my acc, there was a buncha failed attempts and stuff, so he was just warning me. I changed my email and stuff and that was that.


Then a while later I actually was hacked, I still never dled or told anyone my info, I was away at the time though, I was using a sosun +7 52 bow, someone in TE let me borrow, it was pretty sweet, close to an sos +7 7th degree I think, which was the strongest kind in the game at the time, no suns and stuff yet, anyway I had to go away and couldn't give the bow back in time, I came back a couple weeks or so later and I had like 1 day left for deletion on my char lol, and it was stripped. Never found out who did it, or found out where that bow went, which is kinda weird.

Joymax changed stuff so you couldn't put symbols in the secret answers, even if you had one when you registered, so I was screwed at the time, stuck with my pass, until I got hacked and finally got my info changed thx to morningdew.


I'm sure most of you remember the security stuff where rev6 posted just how to get into accounts or w/e if you had the id or something.

I have never gotten hacked, which is good.

It must feel terrible to get hacked tho.

I have never got hacked. I know only 1 legit who have got hacked.

i have never been hacked thankfully but it must be a sickening feeling if you have invested alot of time into your char

I have the 500k list. The accounts are real, btw. One thing I never understood was how they managed to get 500k real account names. Then of course there is also the list of Botters that contains ID, Pass, and IGNs.

ok, then tell for what reason someone who has two PC's in house and premium on acc would use nodc or mc? What's more he's not kid and use PC for work too, so he do best to make it clean coz he can lost much more than in game gold and character...

as far as U don't use bot etc (good for U) and live in dream that U cannot be hacked i hope U will log on acc one day and it will be clean with 15lvl pk. just for that post, which U blame people U don't know...

Nice to see ppl find excuses for being dumb and not able to keep the account secure. Noone will ever hack a ..... SRO char cause its nothin worth. Tell me why all full Sun chars dont get hacked? Allways ..... lowlvl with and amount of gold i can easy stall in 1 day?

Everyone who get so called hacked these days is just responsible himself.

Except the security whole at the joymax website....(which is fix long ago) its not possible to be hacked by 99,99% of the SRO players. Cause they are avarage 14-17 and dont know what they do. Real hackers arnt interested in those accounts at all.

I believe hacking is possible although its not more of hacking, its more of stupidity. Even on WoW you can get your item gold clean out, just last week a friend got 1000gold wipe out his acc, the guy never believe in anti virus, guess what, after we go help scan his pc, tons of trojan and shit.

Playing sro, you need at least 2 anti virus scan your pc regularly. Every file you download, scan it before install etc.

Before you try to sound smart investigate...

1. A person who abused the JM portal issue can maybe remember a person's id/pw but don't do anything till now (happened to some guys)
2. Keyloggers sometime stay after the pc is formated if it is formated in the "fast" mode.

Thats 100% not possible... u was only able to change the pw without knowing the real pw. So the real owner couldnt login with his old pw... the new "owner" could login with the new pw without knowing the old.

And if he is not able to keep keyloggers away from his Pc he deserves to get a naked char. Imma wish this to all lil kids in SRO.
