so my guildmates went item hunting yesterday in a big trade, spawncamped NPC thieves for 3 hours and ended up getting nothing at all but wasted time..
the guys started saying joymax fixed the "NPC thieves dropings" and that lv 89 legs and lv 90 chest could no longer be obtained this way..
anyone has an idea or has tried this lately?

A friend of mine got lvl 5 and over 50% hunter lvl from lvl 3 since she got to 90 by mostly hunting for lvl 85+ traders. All she ever got was a lvl 89 necklace. I have hunted for trades a lot and never got any 89/90 stuff. I am not even sure if npc thieves drop lvl 89 legs and 90 chests coz i heard NPC only drop jewelries.

My point is 3 hours of hunting means nothing to people mentioned above even though it still does depend on your luck and i don't think you guys not getting anything from 3 hours of npc spawn doesn't mean they 'fixed' it and why would they even need to fix it when I thought thats the way they wanted to be?

Yeah, on Olympus the TR's usually camp spawns all week for 1-2 drops. But when one does drop .. it's an instant 200-1000M.

Do you really expect such high lvl mobs to drop you anything within 3 hours?

last week a friend got a 90 light armour chest from a 91 or 92 npc thief.they still drop items, you just have to be damn lucky

well, normally when u go grind u get more drops than that.. so i suppose thier drop rate is actually lower than regular mobs?

Probably lower than lvl 85/87/88 mobs as those who drop them have to be around 90. Besides, I think the lvl range of npc spawns plays some part. IMO, hunting for a lvl 88 traders might give you a higher chance to get those stuff than hunting for lvl 90 traders coz of their NPCs lvl range.

I've done couple of trades with my guild and hide them for drop. Nothing ever dropped. Then, on the other hand, one time we started a trade from Hotan and we got raped after 1 thief spown, right infront of the city. And i got a drop - lvl 89 robe legs. So i'd say it's TOTALLY random and all depends on luck. All trades are 5* with 1 or 2 traders and behemots, so ...

No I don't think they have been removed. My union did a big "server" trade on Sunday, and one hunter from our union got lvl90 garment chest drop. I don't see why they would've removed it anyway, because if they did then they'd do the same to Shaitan and the Guardian Rocky spawns.

I've gotten an sos drop walking in the hotan east gate from a trader run. Drop from a thief was an inch from the safe zone couldn't believe it but it was way back before euro cap.

Im sure they drop almost everything, I once got a lv24 harp at the apple tree in const

NPC can drop 89 neck, legs and 90 chest.
i got a 90 HA chest last week.

But the drop rate is very very very very very small.
Im almost lvl 6 trader, so i did alot of trades, and during all those trades i only saw 1 89-90 drops.
So its normal that during 3 hours nothing drops.

Friend droped 89legs and 89 chest and 89 neklace, and they do trading looooooong time. Evry day of week 5*. He say he got 90lvl chest from 96tlvl thief

Grinding = faster mob spawns = more mobs to kill.
Jobbing = slow spawns = less mobs to kill.

Likelihood of getting a drop from jobbing would be low unless I suppose its like special goods or something then its like 30 thieves/2min lol.

I'm wondering if we're gonna have the same problem of not haivng capped mobs at the 100 cap. This sucks badly for capped people.

Nah, not at 100 cap. We get 100 level mobs.

I was killing NPC thief from 2 trades 1-2 month ago for about 2hrs...nothing drop.
I have gotten 2 89 drops, robe, prot, in shaitain pt long time ago.
kill him about 6x since then but only got the drop from the share pt...not getting the kills.
Still, i'm not patience enough to camp uniques, just reverse
I can't believe that there are players "dedicated" to just camping for hrs..probably got an alarm when uniques spawn.

With all the trades me and my friends did.

89 Garm pants, 89 Euro Neck, 89 Protector legs, 90 Heavy Armor Chest.

2.9b gold there...but thats a fckload of trades.

89-90 are hardly sold for what...500mil on Xian =/ atleast a robe chest piece+5 full blue O_o

I used to grind at Rockys. I farmed myself there as a matter of fact. Made about 300m gold from 88 male garment heads. Get the drop, +4/5 add Str 5/6, Int 5/6 HP 400/600 MP 400/600 and then bam sell for 80m+

3hrs isn't long enough

try longer, even at 80/70, it can take longer than 3hrs for mobs to even drop something

it's all luck, they just have bad luck, u can get a drop with the 1st kill or prob never get a drop at all
