Does anyone know if this is possible?, i know i need to download an OS on my ps3 but will SRO still be able to run? I asked my mum if i could download regular Windows XP cause she has it, but she said its illegal. I dont really plan on playing sro on my ps3 just to be able to run it so i can have another account on so i can pfarm in the future.

No, cause you need directx to run this game,,
you can use linux and install a windows throe emulator,,even if you manage run stable windwos you still gonna get hardware problems and vga problems/errors, and its gonna be slow as hell.. very small chance i would say.

I would think running sro on a ps3 would be able to work if you had the right software..but i guess not

yea lol. You have no access to the Nivdia RSX in linux or windows. Basically you have a computer without any video drivers.

You could try with nvidia 7x00 drivers, the rsx is apparently g70-based. It's worth a shot I guess

the wii is EASILLY worse then the ps3 and in performance PS3 is probably the best..

Can't u just Run the Ubuntu on the PS3 and then run Wine? or the directx drivers not cmpatible with the ps3, of course i know xbox360 supports directx, so u can run al inux on there and use wine

I didnt get a ps3 because of blu-ray i got it because the game i like only came out on ps3, i dont even use it to watch movies or anything. I just use it to play a game, i just use my tv's built in dvd player to play movies.

i do that for n64 and dream cast but not like you're going to get a 360 emulator

could it be ran on a 360? my old xbox is modded and im sure you can mod 360's by now to put operating systems on them...i think it'd be cool to play sro on a gaming console and play online
