Scammer tells you he wants to see your items and send you exchange.
You accept the exchange and put your items in exchange window.
He tells you to press F12 for two times.
You see your items in your inventory but not in exchange window. (actually they are still in the exchange window)
He puts some money in exchange window and tell you to except it for being nice to him.
You accept it and from now on he has your items!

Some people may say i am not that noob to do that twice F12 thing but i blieve there are some people who can do this!

So even if you want to show your items to someone PLEASE use stall not exchange !

Hmm this sounds wierd. What happends when you press F12 twice?

When you press F12 once it hides everything on your screen except the view. I guess there is a bug in the system so when you press F12 again you can see everything but not your items in the exchange window. :S

You deserve to be scammed if you fall for that.

Its true, I just tried it with an extra account on my mom's laptop.

Edit:
After the exchange is complete the items "stay" in your inventory.
You cant move them, you cant equip them, they disappear after you log out or teleport.
Dont fall for that shit.

somebody called "wiuahgwagwa_TR" asks u to show ur items through trade window, then asks u to press some keys, then ur items are gone from trade window and when u could just close it or close da game to prevent a scamm, u go ahead and accept money. wow, its really easy to fall for that.

Happened to a guildie in vent and he laughed how smart it was. He didn't fall for it though.

And yeah.. its old, but it isn't used as much as the stall trick or quickly change price in stall.

Easy way when someone random ppl want something = ignore , unless they only want to chat.

This is why when someone asks to see my gear, I tell them to %@$# off. Best way to NOT get scammed.

same happen with alchemy,if you press Y and start alchemy u see what u make,but if you press F12 once u wont see items in the squares,even if alchemy continue

Ok, so say someone threw your family in jail, then totured each member of your family in front of you, making you watch. He then 1 by 1 kills your mom, your father, any siblings, but all he does to you is slit your vocal cords, and cut off a limb of your choosing.

He deserves the death penalty, but not to get scammed?

What about those pesky bots this forum hates so adamantly. They cheated to get to their level, and probably bought some gold, further cheating. We are all in favor of bot bans, and I assume joymax just deletes items off banned players. So we want them to lose their char, but not their items?

The obvious difference is that the items that were cheated for just slide down to someone else. This is where it gets iffy in my opinion. If the scammer uses the cheated items to better himself, then that's weaksauce. Unless someone finds a way to distribute the lost gear over all the legits, then its unfair to those at the end of the line. Scammers need to simply scam the cheaters, then break down the stolen gear into elements, and get rid of the gold (buy npc weapons, then sell back until at original gold amount).
