Just wondering about windows accounts.

So is it possible to log on windows account A, open sro, get on, sit down, log off of that windows account, log onto windows account B, open sro, get on, and lvl the first account? This wouldn't be using multi clients. I'm just wondering if using 2 windows account would work. Anyone tried this before? I'd rather not waste the time downloading the client to my 2nd windows account if it doesn't work.

Dont think so, it'd still be in the same process list.

Why do you wish to gain advantage legally?

Because it would be handy? And it's legal so no one can whine about, well they could but it would be useless haha.

no, tried it before and never worked. the only legal way to multi client is to have 2 or more computers in your house and just pretty much play them.

Or you can always do the illegal way by which the program can't be talked about in SRF

It's hilarious that ppl whine about multiclient users who take up server traffic and free slots. But actually it's just a pretext, the main reason is that it's not legal

It wouldn't work. SRO would see the sro_client.exe process already running, and refuse to run the second process.

I agree, it's the same thing. If you were able to log on multiple times from XP, you'd be taking up additional spots on the server, just like a multi-client would. Doing it this way wouldn't go against the terms of service, as far as I know, but it still has the same effect on the server.

Same with people logging on from multiple computers.

Well, with the two PC thing, that's the same as having an internet cafe. Bunch of ppl logging on from one area. I think the reason multi is offensive is because it originally came with the bot package.

Not really the same thing. At an Internet Cafe, (at least I would hope) you wouldn't have one person logging in all of their accounts on a bunch of the computers throughout the cafe, and then jumping from one keyboard to the next potting their characters' horses as they trace a lvl 90. Each computer would have its own user with their own account.

No matter what way you look at it, a single user shouldn't be taking up multiple slots on an SRO server, whether it's through a multi client program, Windows "Fast User Switching" (won't work), separate computers, or some other means.

I looked at the TOS on joymax's website and I didn't see anything againt logging into more then one account at a time (but its kinda long). Aslong as your using the official client your not breaking any rules other then being rude.

To share files through LAN:

- open My Network Place
- make you set icons for networked UPnP to show
- set up home or office network
- set network config through a hub, router
- next...next then finish
- restart PC

There you go, you can now transfer sro install file from pc to pc

You talk as if ALL people got an usb more than 800Mb
I got one but it's only 256Mb :D
Transfer through LAN is 100x faster

Yeah but setting it up takes loads of time, I mean, I can put sro on the usb stick while the computer is restarting in your "strategy"
And well, I think most people have usb sticks from 1G or more?
