If a problem happens with my connection I usually wait it out but this problem I am having I have had for 2 days straight now.

I have just had my net reinstalled since I moved house and upgraded to 8mb plan adsl 1.

Service provider: Comcen in Qld

I am having no troubles at all except to play SRO.

I test my connection with http://www.speedtest.net and all seems fine but when i use the korean server I get

ping 900+ ms + my dl/ul are all random.

I cannot even do command line ping/tracert to http://www.silkroadonline.net as it returns "request timed out" even when I choose a huge time to wait for the reply.

Any other Australians having this problem or is it just me?

Ohh and yes i can get in game but I cannot even run out of town it is that bad lol

Uhm, I have no problems with my internet. Sure it's much slower than most countries, though I don't lag at all in SilkRoad.

Where do you live?
Who is your internet provider?

I can get on to it fine even know i've almost used all my interweb usage

im from usa and i can use dial up at 56k and i still dont lag

Ninja, Snoopy and Me are all silkroad players from aus(I think snoopy quit) but yeah, me and ninja are on the same net and we dont get lag AT ALL.
Dunno what your net is, but its not good gamer net. 1500/256kb Telstra does the trick for me.

I have quit yes. I sometimes log in and muck around for like an hour, before I get bored. Murder someone and log off.=]

1. I have 8mb adsl 1 that works great for everything.
2. If you check traceroute I get out of Australia fine but it is the connection to korea i am having problems with.
3. Telstra is shithouse. No service at all and dodgy as hell.

I don't mind Telstra Bigpond, it's a bit of a ripoff and isn't as fast as it claims to be. However I still have it.

Currently on the

BigPond Cable Extreme 60GB // High Speed## // 60GB per month // $0.15 per MB // $129.95 monthly

plan which is expensive yet gets the job done, and I rarely go over the 60GB download limit. I also have no problems connecting to anywhere overseas. Though I noticed when I was in either Europe or North America basically their bare-minimum plans seemed to be faster than me $130 a month plan -.-
