Hello. this is Silkroad Online.
In this week, we posted the massive bot punishment list as we promised.
Bot punishment depends on users action related to illegal programs.
Purchasing Silk will not prevent user from bot punishment. And nothing can justify illegal programs.
Therefore, we are reminding our users to understand regarding to this bot punishment, and avoid illegal programs.
Lets see if they follow through.

I wonder what effect this will have on majority of the servers where most the player population use illegal programs. This will be interesting, looks like Joymax is kicking in to fix a beaten, abused game.

I think people need to stop bitching. They said it and you haven't even given them a Farking chance. Give it a few weeks and lets see what goes down.

they banned a lot
1577 characters
that's a more than half the server capacity and since it's a new server (stereotypically speaking), most of the users have premium to log on immdiately b/c it only has a 2500 server capacity. so that was a huge ban list on joymax's part imho.

I think its just a response to a post someone put on the official forum about their friend who botted and bought premium being banned, I wouldn't expect much from this other than a similar list to last weeks.

I think the little GNGWC slip-up was a good wake-up call to be honest, what with the starting to take a slightly more firm stance now.

I'm thinking they are going to see what generates more money.
Eos: Been out for almost a month, no significant bans till now. This would be a small scale to see what would happen if they cleaned up a lot of Olympus botters (theres tons of em.). If Eos people buy more silk now then they did, I would expect more bot bans that are significant.
tl;dr They are seeing if cleaning up servers makes money or not.

quality products produce more money .... it is insignificant to listen to this rumor "they are testing to see if bots vs clean servers makes more money"..... small brains produce small outcomes

I have a different theory about that one. Maybe it has no thruth in it, but still ...
I have 2 friends using no-dc (if i remeber correctly) banned with silk.
The catch here is that they bought the silk through some e-pins or without verifying their credit card - they can't charge back. Which means they can't get their money and they won't harm Joymax...
Well it's just my theory, but i see some logic in it

And where did you get that random figure from? Your server? You made it up? Got anything to base it on?
So 99% of 3500 = 3465. Theres a whole 35 lets on your server are there? I don't like the chances of one of them being you

It's soooo true.
Always bitching that they don't ban botters who buy silk.
This week JM has more than proven to ban bots who buy silk!
They even posted on their homepage that buying silk won't prevent from getting banned when using illegal programs.
And yet, immediate: JM -> more hollow threats from joymax.. bla bla bla.
WHEN WILL YOU PEOPLE BE HAPPY????
Last year : 0 BANS
This year: (go calculate it yourself)
JM has improved a lot this year.
1/ More events
2/ They started fixing bugs (Honor buff exploit, Help/academy window,...)
3/ I experience less lag than last year, a year with many instable connections and other shitz
4/ weekly botbans
5/ and so the list goes on

The thruth is there always has to be someone whining about something...
+ this is a forum... someone gets bored - let's whine about everything we could think of... this is how it goes...

it does appear that JM is making a effort to do better and improve the playability of the game
of course there will be some that will whine about anything no matter what, but what can you do about those
kudos to JM for the effort, lets hope they keep it up
and so far i am still in the 1%
