This mornings patch -


[Patch]
- Massive bot punishment
- 1000 Silk charge product in PayPal is now no longer available.
- To use Paypal, you must have a character of level 20 or higher. (has been changed from level 10 to 20)

So this means new people who use paypal (like alot of us) cant use paypal until we are lvl 20 now - hmmm why? If i was the owner of the game surely you would make it lvl 1 so they can buy a prem to start straight away? - Means more money this way?

I dont really care im lvl 37 lol so doesnt bother me, but it seems like logical sense?

maybe because many people did this:

-new account
-buy silks with paypal
-buy globals
-spam spam spam spam
-charge back

It takes a day at most to get to 20 and you really don't need silk before 20.

well, level 20 is not such a great obstacle if they really wanted to global and charge back.

guess D3 sosun weapons are now further screwed ... you cant have pets before 20. (unless you get to 20, buy loads of silks for pet and then delevel for good old farming at 16.)

True, and besides, it doesn't take that long to get to lvl 20 anyway. Perhaps part of the idea is to allow users to start off playing the game for free, see if they like it, and then decide later if they want to buy silk when they get more into the game.

Now that was fun times...the only complete sox set I've ever owned in the game, lol. And I only farmed 15-25k between two chars.

But back OT, I like their decision. It makes more sense for JM to set limits so they don't get burned on the chargeback end. If people play and like the game, they are going to keep playing and will eventually buy silk if able.

I think I made it to 5x before I was inclined to buy silk, so I was hooked for a long time already, lol.

It doesn't really change much... you can have a character to 20 in under 2 hours.

Dont forget that you can have a char on another server on the same account over 20, when I started on Venus I got prem straight away because I used the same account as my Zeus char, if I was that bothered about bandit farming I would just lvl some gimp char to 20, buy silk and then make a new char.

true its really easy to get to that lvl i did that very quickly when i first started

Takes less than 2hours if its someone using charge back. Would they really want to go grind it for a day to get level 20? Or just get level 10 then go ongs for about an hour.

It doesn't effect much I guess.. but the 1k charge from paypal.. I suppose it would help reduce charge back.

U start out with a silver ticket and gold ticket use those and u should b lvl 20 in couple of hours specially if a bow(fastest solo grinding till like lvl 30 in my opinion) , int sword ,int spear,str glavie well blader might be a bit slower. i say u dun need a ticket till at least like lvl 40 when it start to get a bit irritation but after lvl 52 i say buy one helps

chinese guide to lvl 30.

make a char. (has to be chinese for this way)
choose bow and garment.
kill mangyangs to lvl 3, then weasels to lvl 7 then yeohas till lvl 12, tigers to lvl 19, chakjis till 22, soldiers till 25, earth ghosts till 27, headless stone things till 30
lvl bow and fire skills up to 9 but keep your mastery 1 or 2 lvls behind you. when you hit 30. dlvl bow and choose w.e you want.

Euro guide to lvl 30

make a euro char
choose either xbow or wizzard
kill according to lvl.
get basic attack skills.
dlvl them and them make w.e build you want
if you want a str char choose xbow and int choose staff -.-

just a simple guide, will get you to 30 in 2 days easy

don't think anyone was asking for a guide.. and that's not even a good guide -.-... you can make it to ~35 in day one if you know what your doing.. i think most people know how to grind..

Or you could do what I did. Make a blader, play maybe an hour or two a day, a couple days a week, no silk, die a lot after level 20 because you keep trying to trade and get killed by capped thieves. Get to lvl 54 in about 2 years.

Yes indeed, for someone knowing the game it's very easy to level to 20. When you login for the very first time on the game you start walking around town, looking around you, talking to all the NPC you meet, find out where you buy weapons, armour and other stuff, finally you find the gates and peep a nose outside the walls to get killed, ress, thinking "ouch what did I wrong and what am I supposed to do", trying out the hot keys, looking at all those beautifull high level chars with their horses, the PVP outside the gates, the trades coming in, etc... A real newbee isn't making level 20 in a couple of hours.

correct, you'll lvl up so fast from 1 - 20 that premuim is not required. beside you have a 50% scroll and 100% scroll for 2 days LOL. and also to prevent spammers.
