Ok, so I am a thief. After thiefing for about 2 hours, I end up with no loot. So I restart the game, login as my pre-euro lv64 chinese nuker, and drop some loot at samerkand north, then log out. I login as my main (euro) and pick up the loot.

I mention it in union, and a guild mate starts attacking me. I'm a noob thief because I drop loot for myself, without any 3rd party programs. I thief on and off with this guildmate, and he has a buffer (Lv70) that he uses all the time. I point out that he bots, and is ok with that, but if I give myself thief XP while following joymax's TOS, he thinks its awful. He then asks for our GM to kick him from the guild. I leave instead, as I'm always guild hopping anyhow, and I was going to leave in about 1 week anyhow.

tl;dr Bots complain about me getting thief XP in a legit manner, while they think they earned all their thief XP while having out of suit ressers at all times.

This has been discussed before. It is legit yes, but it's pathetic. That's why we get level 7 thieves who don't know how to thief.

But this fellow thinks its significantly worse than botting. In my opinion its like not using firewall because its glitched. It helps, but its a bug. (kinda).

Both are wrong. It's not because you are legit that u cant be a smartass.

learn how to thief, theres a lot of videos on youtube. go search them. smart thieves go in groups, not solo. right now you are lower than ppl who pop one stars.

I know how to thief. I was hoping this thread was going to be a discussion, but no surprise it turned into a flame war. Mods, Lock?

I think that job rating is pretty useless. Its obvious that botting is worse because you get item drops, level, gold and etc from botting. Just raising your thief lvl doesn't compare

If they are in the same account you are being legit. If you have multiple accounts you are not following Joymax ToS and therefore you are not playing by the rules.

I believe he is trying to point out the Irony of a botter complaining about unethical play.
