Ok i just reformated my whole comp and installed windows and all that good stuff...and just downloaded silkroad...and i just got a new ram 2 GB and new Nividia GeForce graphics card...and i logged on and within 20 seconds the game crashes before i even move...can someone tell me why it does this?

what series is the nvidia card?

get all your updates .net and all that junk then try..

do you have vista or xp.. get the service packs for whatever one you have..

and also try to turn down the settings of the game like shadows and water detail.

Crashes are usually a memory problem, see if you changed default ram timings and clock as well. If you do that while also overclocking the cpu it should be fine but if you dont oc the cpu it will crash.. I had this problem for a few days until i figured out what it was ;/

all needed updates require to run everything:

- driver for graphic card
- .net framework 1.0 redistributable
- .net framework 2.0 redistributable
- .net framework 3.0 redistributable
- .net framework 1 2 3 service packs
- VC++ runtime redistributable (vcredist)
- visual basic runtime
- windows installer

Your graphics card is deffinetely good enough.

be sure to go to sro main files and change the compatability of sro
to windows 98, that helped me alot

But how is your computer problem 'Silkroad related'?

because it only happens in silkroad....and yea i think its finally fixed now....thx everyone who helped you can lock this topic now mods...
