Which do you like better for PVP, PVE, leveling speed, jobbing (Overall)
combination of all these 4 things even if one aspect is bad

(its in the poll)

they both are equally good and strong when played wisely. but i chose s/s due to survivability.

PVP: S/S has an advantage due to KD/stab combo...plus the physical defense buff is awesome
PVE: spear, just more magical damage.
leveling speed: spear again, faster kills
Jobbing: S/S. The shield and the KD/STAB really help when going against thiefs/hunters.

easy... S/S no doubt about it.. i have a 72 s/s light/ice/bich char and i pwn.. if im pvpin against anyone my lvl or 1-3 lvls higher than me i can win if i use my skills properly.. and i can beat people pure int spear with +7 spears (lvl 72) (i only have +5 s/s and bad gear) the only people i cant beat r 9deg ppl or sun sets..and i level really fast too.

Spear - The grinding parts.

I had a chance to play one of my guild members level 77 Sword/Shield nuker -- pretty much my first time playing on a high level Chinese. I must say that it was the first time in a long time that I had fun grinding solo -- the sheer speed, survivability cause of the shield and all the cool looking moves was just amazing. A lot more entertaining than playing on my 84 Wizard which just has the same animation over and over and over...

If you're going to make a Chinese character (and actually stick with it, not just till level 32), go for S/S.

alright thanx guys, i can see from the poll and you're unanimous posts that considering the overall aspects especially since pvp and jobbing are main parts of the game, leveling is just something thtat every1 has to do, its gaurenteed if you spend the time so i can discard that

so i'll make an s/s char

s/s for sure.

spear only better for grinding.

actually spear is stronger bc of mag attack and extra hp of glavier skills but s/s are good cause they are nearly strong and they can block and have more defense but i like personally more s/s

The rest is definitely S/S

s/s and then when you grind, just have a spear for grinding

which one do you guys recommend

pure int s/s or hybrid 2:1/ 1:2 s/s

I prefer pure int simply because i manged to get a very nice set, and most other ppl i pvp against are easy ownage. For the same set a int hybrid would prob win (only a little hybrid 1:7 or less) due to increase in kd + stab dmg. But like i said, if you have a good set, than i prefer pure int simply for the higher dmg.

yup and if good gear and wep and a good player can take anyone on

but still both of them are not tankers
pve : spear
pvp : s/s
job : spear because U R the killer (in PT 8 not 1 on 1)
just get a blader to tank and u finish them offffffffffff
