the screenies of WoW you all posted makes me wanna gag. the only plus side is i bet i could get more fps on WoW than on sro, sro client is like anti-fps for any gfx card out there.
its seriously disgusting, i run crysis faster than sro's hotan kingdom.
haha that is so true, and crysis is a seriously heavy game.
It's also true that SRO graphics > WoW graphics, and the skill animations are wayyyy better, but the WoW graphics do grow on you and after having it played for 8-9 months I find them actually quite nice
Loki wrote:WorldOfWarcraft PVP need SKILLS?LMFAO GOOD ONE. Dude i'v never played WoW,my friend let me try his lv.70 Dwarf Hunter,I was pwning everyone, even thought it was like what my 2nd time playing?WoW Is all about gear!!
Then again SRO is about gear maybe too,but at least they spice up the PvP with nice skill animation, job conflict and soon FORTERESS WAR BABY
and here is someone who judges whole of wow pvp based on a few minutes of playing someone else's character. that's why hunters are known as huntards, now even their friends behave like one when they play it.
of course gear will win in any game, but put 2 almost equally geared players together in sro and wow and compare what pvp is like.
And here is someone that judge the whole class just cuz it pwned you... Hey get ur fact straights,I played the game like 2 hours, and I killing them all, dont you get the thing? Its all GEAR,why would of I been able to kill most players,I just clicked the buffs and let roll the hotkeys...
I'm a fan of point and click MMOs. I've played WOW and its just too slow paced for me. Can't Grass Walk around =D. And the quests in WOW are just as boring as SRO quests. The only difference is in WOW you have to travel back and fourth across the world ten billion times.
Other games I have played which further support my opinion:
Nine Dragons Guild Wars Lineage Lineage 2 Eve Online Mu Online
SRO > WOW. Period.

Man, bull sh1t wow has way better pvp have you ever seen that that stuff is so more advanced and funner to play then SRO PVP SRO pvp is random lol theres nothing fun bout it, usually just high level turks pickin on noobs lol , wow they make it fair between levels and sro is everyoen vs everyone and never ending...
Eh I liked WoW when I played it. Only thing though...it's addicting. Thats why I had to cancel my subscription at lvl 39. With WoW it seems like it's a never ending quest. Good points about WoW...
WoW - *Crazy Fun pvp...I liked how I got the message when horde players came close to Allied towns..then everyone would go out and a giant battle would break out. *The fact that you can't understand horde players...adds to the experience. *Everyone speaks english *Easy to find people to quest with. *No Bots *support is 100x better than sro
Sro - *It's free (technically) :p
Main reason I play sro (and a few others games) is because it's something to do. And it doesn't suck me in like WoW did.
I play both (refer to sig) and just recently started playing SRO.
WOW is fun and I've been playing since release (and still actively play) but SRO is a fun game to play on the side.
WOW has less lag issues and cracks down hard on bots (because if they ban bots those botters will buy new accounts only to get banned again and repeat the cycle and make WOW more money).
SRO is bad with bots, but if they take action they will end up losing money due to charge backs by the botters. SRO needs to take credit card numbers on their own so thats not an issue.
WOW is a wonderful game but after running almost all the raid instances and becoming one of the top arena teams (rated PVP) in the game it begins to get stale.
To get your PVP arena points for the week you only need to play 10 games, so I've been playing SRO when I'm not doing my 10 games a week.
I think overall WOW is a more polished game, but then again it's not free.
If SRO didn't have any lag issues (more servers, or less bots) and therefore no lag delays in actions occurring it would definitely be holding its own.
Also the engrish is quite hilarious in SRO (my glavie!).
Also WOW graphics are intentionally cartoony, to create a unique feel to the world and to prevent them from becoming outdated as quickly as a game which tries for realistic graphics.
I was pretty amazed at the quality of SRO graphics though for a free game.
I also like that you can get a horse at level 10, unlike in WoW where you have to be level 40 (out of the 70 max).
I haven't got to play much SRO PvP but the PvP in WOW is really good, especially in rated arena where the players who suck will be known as sucking due to their low arena ratings and the good players are offered to compete in tournaments for prizes over $30,000.
