Im kinda like Robin Hood. Take from the rich and give to the poor. Actually, never mind, take from the rich and lol at the poor. I scammed someone out of 90million, trust me, scamming is not a noob thing, it's pretty hard and requires a lot of skill. Plus, you have to speak good english. Like, who'd trust a turk? Anyways, i just scam because my brother used up all the money on paypal so we can't use silk. I guess in a way, im legit. I dont bot. I dont prem. I dont beg. Ill scam because i can. I needed money for pots on a new server anyways. LOL. :twisted:

Man i stopped reading at second page, I agree with Crumpets, If you get scamemd it's your fault, I've been only scammed for taxis like 3 or 4 times and some dude tried to scam my wolf for 1 gold but he failed.

You guys are just saying it's wrong because you got scammed...punished for scamming? lol that's why you make a new account to scam! I'm too lazy to go around scamming, but heck I would do it If i didn't have anything to do .

I forgot who compared scamming with stealing a car... dude that's not scamming ...that's stealing... :banghead:

You have 3bil gold.
Someone is selling X 76 sun weapon that you want for 2bil.
You are both trusted and respected members on the server, he stalls a pot for 1bil and you buy it because he's trustworthy.
He is suppose to stall the sun weapon for 1bil but just runs away.
You got scammed, was it your own fault?
How else would you get that sun weapon you so badly desired?

Scamming equals defrauding, or in other words cheating someone out of his property, money, or right to do something, like stealing by deception, seeing you have them believe something, and use that to steal. Stealing equals taking money or property without permission of the rightful owner.

So lets summarize that shall we?:
Stealing = Stealing
Scamming = Stealing+Deceiving
So, depending on your personal point of view, scamming is even worse.
And I seriously hope you're not trying to say scamming is normal, or better then stealing, because otherwise you really are a pathetic little boy.

The trade window bug is theft, the stall network outside of town glitch is theft. Scamming involves the person giving an item to you to have that weapon plussed or made into sosun. Their own greed impedes good judgement and willingly give the scammer their item.

Scamming =/= Theft.

Refer to my posts about buying a sosun, how is that being greedy. You can't get a 76 sun weapon for under 1bil gold.

@ring - there are always different words that mean basically the same things; scamming is just a form of stealing.
You end up with something that is not your own, and the other person loses something they value, if that isn't stealing I don't know what is.

It uses greed and making someone think they are getting something for nothing to scam them. Its not outright theft. Many kinds of scams are quite legal. Go to any mall and you will find a little box with a stack of ballot entries on top. They SAY you are being entered into a contest, but really, they are address list builders who sell your information. Amway, the ultimate scam and the original pyramid scheme. Publisher's Clearing House gets thousands of elderly people to buy useless knick-knacks and magazines in the hopes of winning the 100 millions dollar prize while it says in VERY small print that buying doesnt increase your chances. Scamming is not like stealing a car or stealing a purse. Those acts are forceful and lack the cooperation of their victims. Hacking is like stealing. Scamming is usually quite voluntary out of greed or stupidity.

I dont condone the scamming of legits out of principle, but the scamming of botters is a perfectly legitimate way to make a buck and make a bot cry. In my eyes, they dont have the same rights as everyone else who plays and I dont have enough respect for them to care if they get scammed.

For me the best time I had was on Xian right when 80 cap opened. I was a character hopper though so I eventually quit Xian in frustration though.

Anyway, good luck on Saturn.

Oh yeah, scamming is bad don't do it to blah blah... Even if it's not stealing your still taking advantage of someone. I agree though if it's a bot go for it.
