Avalon isnt really anti-bot, despite what you think.

Avalon is pro-legit. Other than SRF, we are apparently the only pro-legit force in SRO. Venus isnt only about Avalon, we are just the most visible and we started it. Why do you think half the mods on SRF have chars on Venus and prolly 50% of SROs remaining legits? Because it is what we say it is. You can call us arrogant jerks, but we arent lying. Venus isnt just controlled by a strong legit guild or union. Its controlled by legits COMPLETELY as a cooperative group. Legits dominate the server on every level. Sure there are gold bots and few player bots... But they arent even a factor.

We discourage bots and encourage legits on as many levels as possible. In SROs current environment, that is a crime. lol We are trying to change that.

BTW... Is this list accurate as far as anyone knows?

And seriously. This game is very limited on things you can actually do different than someone else. There is no way they are doing anything that will seriously blow any other Euro party out of the water. They are just normal Euros playing in normal parties. But, on top of that they have huge numbers of people who are at least mildly smart and are able to play well in a party. There is nothing they are doing different or better from normal Euro parties... It's just there numbers and success which makes them seem better.

This game is follow a template, mash buttons and shit works. You insert 8 of one mildly smart person and you have an invincible team. It is that simple. There is nothing they can really do better than anyone who can grasp the concept of how to party...

Therefore, we distribute the war money to the people who show up to defend, regardless of the level. And also, we do parties to help low levels level; stick one or two level 80's in a level 60 party and it's amazing how much exp they get... while still contributing to the party and LEARNING.

And that's the majority of the "powerlevelling" done on Venus. A high level wizard usually joins a lower level party, however the party continues as if he were a wizard of equal level to them. They learn, they get kills fast, everyone's happy.

On the subject of the bots on our server, they're so disorganised we could probably not show up and still hold it. They're too busy killing other attacking guilds to even think about combined force on one gate, or to just go back to that gate even if they died instead of trying to take down multiple gates.

I was trying to leave this one alone, but you seem to want to fight. What you did on Odin is great. I never said it wasnt. But what we did is different. We are building not a strong legit union, but a haven for legits in general. We want many strong legit unions. We planned this out from before Venus went live.

Im not going to preface everything I say about Venus with "Odin has a strong legit Union who controls the fortress".

Hmmm, I played on Venus yesterday for a while. Honestly, it's a great server with lots of legit and of course drama. I met a couple of Avalon guys and from my own experience they are nice and really hate bots. And of course if you are a bot on this forum you will somewhat hate them and thus replying bad comments towards them to make them look stupid?(even though you are not in their server)(not implying that all people that dispite Avalon are botters).

Avalon says they help noobs by giving them gold or plvl. Well, yesterday I just pmed nb to say hi and nothing more. She gave me 1m, even though I didn't ask for it. 1m is nothing for her (just like any other high lvl... lol). I haven't found many people that just give gold to random people (except myself ), so I respect that and what's she's trying to accomplish. I guess she gave me gold to teleport to dw, but not only that... I guess she gave me gold to give me an 'iniciative' to leave my capped char and to play on Venus. I admire that. It seems that Avalon really wanna try and have a fun legit server and I see nothing wrong in that.

So people here, even though some of the Avalon guys might seem 'arrogant' (I agree to some extent), they have accomplished something really big that no one has accomplished - a really legit server (I don't think Odin could be even compared to Venus - no offence given). Hence, I guess they have the rights to brag about it? I mean it's a hell of work just to get rid of botters in their server(there is still a few from what I have seen). So yea... Thumbs up for Venus and what these guys have done and still trying to do.

Not to start an argument, but I think that having high level, somewhat-competent bots on our server is nice in a way; it gives us someone to hate on, someone to destroy in wars, etc. and we don't have to feel bad about it. Not to mention it also livens the server up having two completely opposite groups competing for the same territory. Venus right now seems just like a no-contest... boring for me... I enjoy Odin just like it is ...minus the goldbots... but I can't do much about them.

They aren't better than anyone else when it comes to playing and it took a lot less effort to do what they've done than it would for someone like me to drag hundreds of legits to Gaia. They are to arrogant for the easy ride they've had to get to where they are, although it might not have been easy it was a hell of a lot easier than it would have been compared to some random guy showing up and doing the same.

I agree with you in the part where you said that it was easier for nb and fly to get more people involved rather than if some random guy and showed up and asked to form a legit guild in the next server. But why do you think it was easier for them? Probably, because they already set an image to the public form their past sro experiences? I mean, after all they have been playing SRO since 2006 and many people in this forum knows them as icons. I don't really know the whole Xian history, but for what I have read and seen, theempire was an anti-bot guild that made lots of bots pissed (eg. DarkJackal).

I'm an old school SROer. I have been in this forum and playing sro since 2006 and I haven't seen legits so determined to get rid off botters than nb and fly.

AND BTW, if you or anyone else think nb/fly/avalon are my friends or anything... they aren't. Hell, I don't even talk to them. So yea...

Well our union kept fortress this time which was pretty nice, we actually had to look for people to kill since there were only 2 attacking guilds. I left 15 minutes after the war started due to boredom so you can imagine, I hope royals and whitewolf get together again and make this server mildy amusing again :/

Btw. you guys are really making venus more boring than it already is. I'd say Odin > Venus, more fun for the legits when theres an actual competition.
