lol hacking? i've not hacked anyone, I have merely taken advantage of bots and made them murderer multiple times, they have no one to thank but themselves for botting, I on the other hand have joymax to thank for having this retardeds crap possible, and rev6 for letting everyone know how to do it.

I agree with the first part of your statement, but not the second. Joymax has been warned about this issue for weeks now, but has done nothing. Apparently the only way for Joymax to be woken up is by posting it publicly, and it might help people who lost their character to at least get the stripped version back under their own control.

Thats not right though, they shouldn't just give it to the public and hope joymax does something, theres no guarantee they will rollback and ppl will get the stuff back, so many more ppl are gonna get hacked from what rev6 did then if they didn't, you know how joymax feels about hacked accounts, if they do anything they will probably just patch and put some gay little msg saying sorry for the inconvenience, lol yea sorry but your screwed.

Sure, but if they hadn't Joymax would just continue to deny the issue even exists (there have been reports about this issue for quite a while now, and many bug reports), and left everybody open for hacking. It's the same discussion on disclosing security issues in popular software packages. You give the software manufacturer a certain amount of time to fix the issue, and then it's time to alert people to the problem so they can at least take their own precautions. Unfortunately it is the only way some companies can be convinced they actually need to get off their ass, and do something.

Thats very unfortunate and sad to hear about that DJ, hacking shouldnt be happening to anyone in my opinion, all the same, its theft.

I didnt know you were hacked before and i hope you can bounce back yet again

I havent checked my account in a couple days as ive been busy but if i find ive been done too or any of my guild members at that fact (tho i tend not to f*ck too many people off, and i use junk anyway) i will just stop playing.

but... (no ofense).. again but, but! The only way to hacking ppl is that you have told ppl your id pw. OR going to sites where there is keyloggers.... but ima bit confused over all this. .(used 30 min to read all >.>)

earlier on the official website, someone posted a website with thousands and thousands of IDs and emails of sro accounts. Their database got cracked (again) apparently.

They only need your id. I create an account to see how it work the exploit after being hacked and it took me only 5 minutes hack the account that I just create knowing just id.

This is gay as hell... And JM seems to be taking its sweet time to fix it too. I heard about this crap like a month ago, people started posting it on the official forums like 2 weeks ago, and the whole general board is covered in them -.-/ Instead they report on a scamming method barely even known. But they manage to kill the gold duplication in like a day.

A player should not have to be concerned about having his account hacked just because he made his ID the same as his IGN. Thats what passwords are for but thanks to JM they don't matter anymore. I can't believe im seeing SRF members side with JM on this, its like a slap in the face to the legit community who just wants to have fun without fear of hacking because their favorite username just happens to be their ID and their IGN.

Exactly. JM's security is utter shite, it's too easy to put the blame on the user that way.
