ask anyone who has ever come to me with an issue about this forum, hw it's run, anotehr user, or a problem they have had. i am resonable, i get back to them fairly quickly, and i do whatever i can to assuage the issue at hand. if you have a constructive criticism about me, my mod team, the rules and their enforcement, or anything else, PM me. i will see that it gets addressed, believe me.
but simply saying that we don't enforece ANY of our policies and comparing us to JM is a slap in the face. If you can honestly tell me you have never gone into a thread and seen <<banned from SRF for XXXXXXX. -SG>>, then either you need to read more on here or i need to make my ban reasons larger in people's sigs.
realize that a lot of moderation happens in the background. a post gets locked or removed, and a thread is started about it in the mod section. we discuss it and act accordingly. most warnings - for flaming, rulebreaking, etc. - happen via PM, behind closed doors. just because you cannot see it doesn't mean it isn't there.
quite frankly i'm not sure what your issue is, since you did nothing in this whole thread but shake your fist and didn't raise any real issues other than the sig one (and if you truly want me to start banning people for overlarge sigs, you and i have a larger issue at hand. if it bothers you that badly, there are GreaseMonkey scripts for FireFox that will allow you to remove ALL users' sigs).
if you think you have the cure-all for making a forum with over 570,000 posts, over 46,000 topics, and over 29,000 registered users, not to mention thousands of non-registered guests per day, all work smoothly, get along, and be completely manageable, please, by all means, PM me and let me know. but don't insult my intelligence and the competence of my mod team by making a sweeping generalization and then not backing it up with any facts.
