I am a newb to this game, but even from my perspective of just a few months I have come to see the problems this game has. Before now I never really worried about posting my opinions on their forum, but now, it looks like they will do anything they can to silence people. What if they've already flagged me for joining the silk boycott? Or for complaining about lack of updates? What if I continue to play for a few more months and then get banned like Wong? I never saw anywhere that they stated trading gold between servers was bannable prior to this, and somehow they are accusing him of even more things without even saying WHAT it is. They have very publicly banned a person who MAY have broken some rule that they won't even say what it was, meanwhile they are given LISTS of people, some with serious proof in the form of video, who are DEFINITELY breaking BIG rules and they turn a blind eye. Just how are we SUPPOSED to construe that?

I know it is just a game and I'm just playing for fun, but wtf is the point if my game time gets ruined by griefers who just bot their way into higher levels and buy gold to get the best gear? How is it fun for me? Then if I complain they ban?

I signed up for 2moons, I'm going to try that out when it goes OB, and see how that goes.

Yeah, I saw that when the 5 day ban was put in place. For one, that is just a post on THIS forum, which if you could get banned for saying things here then there are quite a few that have said they bot here, that are still playing. If wong got banned for something here then why are these others allowed to go free?

Second, MD said there were more violations beyond that one in their post. Those violations still haven't been revealed.

apparently wong also posted on the official forums, under his pacific account, asking to trade gold. no proof was shown though because they apparently dont have to prove it happened to ban someone...

JM is breaching their ToS, the same one they make you agree before you make an account. Nowhere in the ToS does it say that gold trading between servers is against the rules. Unless they updated their own ToS, but not the one on the site.

they have, the one on the site has been out of date for months now apprently, but technically they should still have to follow those ToS because we havnt been shown or agreed to these new ones.

One, why would Wong, a veteran player, post on the official forums something that which is bannable? He's not that dumb. Where is this thread on their forum that MD claims exists?

Maybe it DID happen. So you can be banned for something that you post on a forum. MD reads THIS forum, and knows those who admit to botting. Why aren't THOSE investigated and punished?

And still, WHAT are the "other violations" that extended the ban? The above was what caused the 5 day ban. They haven't said what this one was for.

I'm sorry but in light of the MASSIVE evidence of more serious infractions they have right in front of them this just looks so wrong. Sure, all offenses should be punished. But we don't see these other offenses being punished, just a handful of gold bots. That is what is wrong about this.

Now JoyNax has started all out supporting bots. Why they don't have bots in the Item mall yet i dont know...

I have seen 2 bots banned my stay in SRO. Im out leaving perminantily unless something DRASTIC happens. I might come check on things once and a while in SRO. Ill be on the forums.

i think its a little pretentious of joymax to even think their game will be around for 100 years or that people will even care about it after 1 more year. We don't get updates be have terrible CCF and Bots problems now joymax is IGNORING the giatn bot lines in hotan and banning ppl like Wong (not that i care)

anyways, I DID trade gold from pacific to other serves, and i didnt get even close to get banned for even 1 hour,

so the moral of the story, violate the TOS as much as you want, just dont post anything about it, cause we all now know that the mods of silkroad are kids who wants to prove themselves so they just take jokes from other fan forums as a bannable act.
