You know something interesting? I have noticed that the same ppl who say, "There is no morality in gaming, it's not RL" and the ppl who say, "Getting married in game is so lame, get a life" are the same ppl.... lol

I got married in game. First, it's an Role Playing game. Second, it was fun and the first one in SRO. And the reason we did it, or rather, Fly did it, (He sent up a global, that is how I knew we were getting married) is because some jerk in his guild told him the reason I hung out with him was that I was looking for a "baby daddy". So Fly said, "Yeah? Well she found one" and announced that he was gonna marry me and father my e-babies. LOL He has always been my ingame knight in shining armor. He enjoys that role. I enjoy letting him play it. I dont see how that is bad, it adds to the fun. Flirting with him is a bonus.

I can imagine that players would like to spend time together as often as possible,but i do have to question the depth as to where it might lead.

For example:

Let's assume that i met a very nice girl ingame,we hang out together and just have plain fun and all is well.

Now over due time you tend to share more about you'reself,since boundaries crumble because the time and nice atmosphere you both created,makes it interresting to explore that strange new area even further..

But what if you actually start to care for the other player and he or she's not responding anymore or ignoring you all together.

I can imagine some people (mostly people with social insecurity problems) taking theire own life because of something like losing love in or over a game.

You would be suprised how many commit suicide because some female or male stood them up...

That's why i found the depth perspective so alluring to enlight.

The concept of love might be practiced in game sure,but keep the real love for real life. :love:

It's just a game.

My current g/f I met online. She lives in Puerto Rico. We met in another mmo, were just friends at first. Now we're pretty serious, trying to save up money atm to go meet her.

When it comes to girls online, I usually go "boy til evidence otherwise." That way, I treat everyone the same, as a friend (or an idiot) and if they happen to actually be a girl, thats fine.
