There are lots of reasons I'm against botting that have nothing to do with whether I'm pleased with myself for not botting.

I speak up in this forum because being silent and letting JoyMax solve the problem didn't accomplish shit. 1st. I must have heard at least 999.999 times the same "I'm not paying for a game run by botters" crap, yet the truth is most legits who wish to outlevel everyone else spend gargatuous amounts of money on Silkroad even though they know it's just too overpriced (premium + pet + avatars being almost 3x as much as Warcraft), and even though they know they're giving money to a company that clearly doesn't give a shit about bots. This rant of yours about money is hollow.

It's been over four years that people have been complaining about botters. People have gathered and sent massive amounts of mails to Joymax at once, they're phoned them, they've talked with GM's, they've signed petitions, there was the Venus legit movement, people have tried everything they could. And clearly, it's had no effect whatsoever. Joymax hasn't banned gold bots recently because you asked them, they did it because they probably weren't profiting from it. And everyone in this forum, bot or legit, knows damn well how pointless it is to rant about it, including yourself. At this point we all know people don't rant because they don't want bots, they rant because they wanna sound like they're good legits and earn praise from other legits. You know what the guy in this thread had in mind when he posted this? Third, I've never believed complaining to JoyMax would accomplish anything and I've never done so. I DO believe that discussing the negative side to botting on a popular game site has some affect on potential botter's behavior.

Am easy way to earn money is to go to kSRO and play there. You dont have any problems with EXP and gold. The only problem is sp farming(which can be done at ongs or in jobcave)

Sure, on most servers. However, if it weren't for all the ranting on these (and other) forums, there probably would not have been any legit movements on Azteca, Venus, or any of the other newer servers out there. Certainly not to the same level at least. New players come onto a popular forum to read about SRO, read all the negative talk about botters, cheaters, game going to crap... Then read posts about people banding together to try and make it better, legit movement, etc., they may very well pick the "legit movement" side of things.

To some extent I can agree, but not really. It's the bots that killed the game, the bots who ks the good grinding places, bots who make buying gear next to impossible by destroying the economy. That said, I had to party with some great people behind that computer program. It's sad though.

TL;DR the rest of the posts... but I like the very first one! Good vision/mission on that.. but, seriously? Would you play the game for 10 years to reach Level 110 Capped and then realize.. oh! These JM people are increasing cap to Level 120 and on kSRO it's Legend 10 coming soon so probably cap there is like Lv 150 (I dunno)..

I personally, could say that I legitimately played iSRO from Lv01 to Lv60, took a break, came back and did it again until about Lv76 and got power leveled until Lv88 and now I'm Lv93.. but unfortunately the last 5 levels weren't as legit as I would've liked them to be..

There's at least 1 or 2 guilds on iSRO on every server that are LEGIT to some extent.. I've come to know the Avalon union through the move to Azteca and their rules and such.. probably the most advertised union on iSRO and this forum (only).

Back to my main point, would you play iSRO for 10 years continuous? Because from my understanding and research it takes 4 YEARS to get from Lv100 to Lv110 partying for 2 hours a day! 4 YEARS!

I would love to start over and play legit all over again, no doubt about that! BUT, on ONE condition.. that Silkroad Online turns into something like WoW when it comes to anti-bot.. these guys are impenetrable as far as I know.. they are 100% bot-free!

The same way people are spending to buy silk and other things, I think they wouldn't mind paying to play the game in the first place! Especially if Silkroad has a trial period in which someone new to the game could check it out and see how things are!

I've personally tried checking out WoW, but it seemed much more difficult to get around and play.. it was complex compared to the simplicity of Silkroad.
