Of course when u're on the other side, u will only see bad things about him. Nobody can blame u for that. It's ur own opinion. But for me, he's great at leading the best community of legits in SRO and not to mention the biggest. But remember 1 thing, the success in venus before was not done by him and NB only, it was a success because of the legit community that worked together to achieve the same goal. For all ex Venus players, u guys are the best. I'm thankful to play alongside u guys.

See, Fly is a funny fellow. He has a great sense of humor and is a friendly, personable guy. He does however have this one quirk. If he adds someone to the legion and they have a weird voice in Vent, he kicks them. Elf_Daniel was one of those people. Had a bit of a lateral lisp with a light southern accent if I remember rightly. Fly kicked him pretty suddenly and Elf_Daniel begged to be told why. Of course, you can imagine how harsh it would be to be told you were kicked cause you sound somewhat like a vaguely gay redneck.

And another Avalon fan was born. Was it fair? Sure, Elf hates us for a good reason. lol It's still kinda funny though.

Fly and NB were originally players on Xian who allegedly botted, scammed and whatnot.

They were eventually exposed and ostracized by the legit community quite heavily and left Xian.
A little while l8r they resurfaced on Venus leading a "legit" revolution. While the revolution was admittedly quite effective considering conditions on most servers, it imposed a large number of restrictions on all players. The secret to their success was a set of rules to police all players by their fellow players, the breaking of which would garner heavy repercussions ranging from being banned from the guild/union to abuse and constant pk or indirect pk(ostracism in a nutshell )

I did try to play on Venus myself once, the rules didn't seem like much at 1st but l8r on the constant "some1 watching you" feeling gets on your nerves, not to mention how fanatically inclined some ppl were to the "legit" rules and how some ppl were treated for even the most minor offense didn't quite fit with me, so i left after just lvl 30 or so.

Not to say the Venus players were all bad, many of them were quite friendly and fun to play with but overall the environment didn't quite sit well with me.

Well i think that pretty much covers some piece of sro history, now who wants to tell me about Dem n Moogie?

P.S. I never personally met them so i couldn't care less who or what they were/are

I do remember them both. I never got to know them very well, but I did talk to nightbloom in PM sometimes and they invited my wife and I into Avalon when we joined Venus for about 6-8 months. We started Avalon when we were lvl 1 and played half a year to level 35 or so. I never heard a single complaint from either Fly or nightbloom about our extremely slow leveling. I never once felt like I or Z0RA were being watched, never questioned.

Interesting how so many other people seem to feel that way. I guess everyone has their own experience. I think they were both fine. The rules may have been a little strict, but it didn't bother me at all. Overall I think Venus was a much better grinding experience for me than other servers.

As for Fly and nightbloom's wedding... I was told I would get an invite. I'm still waiting! I am NOT pleased! lol

Well its like you said we have different experiences, I'm back in venus now, ya its dead like most servers but I'm playing a chin char now, so idea on the whole euro party scene(im also still a 32 lvl nopie )

yes i know it says in the rules that they only ban you from their guilds/parties, but i saw a few other things on the server from a few ppl, not the majority ofc, thats all im gonna say. Over all the whole place had a "Going overboard" with all the rules thing feel, and i found that a few ppl just seemed a lil too obsessed with the rules or maybe they were role playing?

Look tbh i dont really care, i just didn't like the place so i left after a lil while, if you guys think you had the best mmo exp there then thats gr8 for you, i think i had a better exp in Dofus/PW/Battleforge.
And to all the ppl over there going after fiction and w/e, WHO CARES!!!?? all this stuff happened years ago, most of those ppl don't play sro anymore or even come here, so what if some1 had a nasal weird voice, if ppl had an e-marriage or e-love-affair, lots of ppl do lots of stuff in their lives, some of its crazy some isn't, all i see here are a bunch of old/middle-aged women gossiping away or making snide comments like in some pathetic soap or something....

Fly? Known that guy since venus started. Joined venus to help them create a legit-dominated server. Got the best MMO gaming experience there. Had the most fun. Became the core Avalon members and war officer that held the fort for 2 years. He's a great commander and leader. He doesnt need to be the best since he's leading the best players in venus. Always among the last core members to capped. :p

Yeah they're really showing the love... forgetting all about me. I worked HARD over 8 months or so getting to lvl 35 or so, contributing minimal GP to Avalon when the guild was still alive and well in Venus. I was the most dedicated, inactive, slow leveling newbie xbow rogue/bard in Avalon. The least they could do is... *cries in corner*

It would be taking it too far if Fly and nightbloom (or anyone for that matter) got married in game and tried to get a legal marriage done based on the game, and then (successfully?) filed law suits in real life against anyone who apposed, or denied, their in-game marriage. Or if they tried to file jointly for taxes based on an in-game marriage.

If everything is more or less kept in game, then I'm all for it. It's a Role Playing game, so what's the harm in taking on the role of your character? Why can't that character also move to other games to carry on the story (or legacy?)?

Of course I remember them.

As the pic above already explained, Fly played as a warrior at Venus. Never really talked a lot with him though. Just know him as a character and a legend (you may like him or not, but you can't deny that he was pretty famous).

Personally I don't know what to think about him as I never really wrote with him.
