IMHO, the real winners are the ones having fun with their friends partying (whether online or offline). This game isn't about leveling, it's about socializing. Joymax coded the game to be a grind with the possible intent of keeping us interested (not sure how), and that was a miserable failure.

meh...there are way too many variables to assert one particular position. We can all agree that:

-Joymax's customer service is shoddy
-They are not doing nearly enough in all capacities
1 - not banning enough bots or keeping them away
2 - changing the game so powerlevel is more difficult while still maintaining a party bonus
3 - making quests more interesting (reducing the grind a little)
-as part of the game, we have not done enough to keep the company moving in the direction we wanted

It's not 100% obvious that JM doesn't care, but if you are going to play, I think that the bots are a fact of life. Annoying though...

An individual botter may not have much of an effect on our gaming experience, unless it's grinding next to us, KSing us, etc., but multiply that by hundreds or thousands of bots across all the servers, clogging them up so others who actually want to PLAY the game can't log in?... That's at least one way it affects us.

I don't think it's a complete waste of time. If enough people complain, long enough, Joymax might get hit with a clue stick and do something about the problem.

I still find it interesting that right around the time that SRF started locking down on the botters in the forum, opening up EB, banning bots from the forums, Joymax around the same time started putting out larger 'massive bot ban lists'. I think that's around the time they started with the 30,000+ lists on an almost regular basis. I remember SuicideGrl commenting on that one time noticing the correlation. Maybe the two events were just a coincidence.

Does "all of your union bots" include you? Do you bot? Even if you don't, why don't you? What's stopping you? Your whole union bots (maybe except you) and you obviously defend them by saying Joymax doesn't care. What if overnight, all the bots were banned (hypothetical) you'll be all alone, I guess that would suck. I would also venture to guess why you would post here to comfort everyone, but you only need to comfort yourself. Is it fear or guilt?

Maybe it has to do with just how bad botting has gotten. Yesterday I logged on and was messing around jangan. A freaking newbie still with his yellow leaf newb symbol walks up to me and asks if I had an sbot account I could share with him. I told him to go grind and enjoy the newbie quests since they were kind of fun. He said his friend told him to play and that you needed a bot to lvl in this game...

If it wasn't for my friends popping back after a few months, I prob would've gone to venus, but they keep restarting the game, so I keep going back to the same ole shitty server >_>.

I REALLY want to find a bunch of new players who played other mmos before and make them all play silkroad and see what they think of the game. I mean, the first things you read in this game won't be "go to general whatever for help", it will prob be more like this:

"Welcome to Silkroad, let your dreams begin..."

i know ALL my guild and union is legit.
and not all botters bot afk however the only time in intrested in talkin 2 people not on my friends list or union is when im trying to grind with them... otherwise why else would i talk?

im not saying u bot but a bot supporter is just as bad. heck even if they got banned ud probably feel the effects cast on you.
